Disclaimer: my friend Richard Loranger was the prose editor for this volume of an annual anthology of prose and poetry out of New York. Some of the poetry was too language-y for my taste, but some of it was superb. On the whole, I liked the prose even better than the poetry. My favorite piece was one by Jeffrey Greene entitled "Flash Opera on Freedom." I think it was memoir, but it could have been fiction. Genres weren't listed.
