Books rating are so subjective it’s hard to decide what constitutes a good book based solely on this criterion. I find it easier to rate a book keeping its genre and audience in mind, rather than the larger category of ‘books I have read’. For example, it would be completely unfair to compare Mariah Stewart to Murakami or Gaiman. For its genre, which I assume to be light fiction, The President’s Daughter was pretty good. It was a quick read, less than half a day, and kept my interest almost up t...more

A good read Events revolve around places and time where truth eventually has to surface. It proves that keeping a secret around more than one person can work but you can never tell where the problem might surface.

This was my first Mariah Stewart book. After Nora Roberts, Kay Hooper, whose books i loved, I feel that Mariah Stewart books would be of the genre that i love. Detective, serial killers..
So excited to read her others book..!!

This was a great suspense book. I believe it was Mariah Stewart's 1st book. It's a super quick read with nothing too "deep". Nice short chapters. If you are looking for a suspense book to read this fall, this is a must.

I pulled this out of a round robin book box circulated by online friends. No idea who put it in. It was a quick read and for a semi-thriller, I did not have the ending figured out by chapter twenty.

well I suppose by the title and the blurb it was obvious what the big secret and reason for the murder was adn events were but the villain was a surprise well at least to me

It was ok...a bit predictable. I like her mysteries better than the romances. I'm not disappointed I read it - just wish it had been less predictable.

Once again I wasn't disappointed by Mariah Stewart. A good wholesome intriguing read. I did have this one figured out before the end, but still enjoyed it.

I love all of her books, but this one was a big favorite for me. Still sits on my keeper shelf (and it's not a big shelf!)

This story is about a woman who learns she is the illegitimate daughter of a former president. As the truth begins to surface, she finds her life in danger. I enjoyed it; it's a good suspense novel.

This is not what I expected. I thought I had picked up a good summer thriller, but it was more romance than anything. I left it at the hostel in France with no desire to share with anyone I know.
