Imagine a sillier Will from Renee Carlino's Sweet Thing meets a less confused and more fun version of Caroline from Jane Harvey-Berrick's book The Education of Sebastian.

Lilla is 38 years old, she works in Marketing. She's lost who she is and desperately seeks fun, passion and true love. She is in a loveless marriage with Adam, a man who she has come to loathe.

"I want to have an affair. Rolling across bed sheets. Pinned against the wall." --Lilla King

This Adult-New Adult mash-up is an extremely steamy contemporary romance that tells the story of Cash, a 24-year-old grocery clerk and Lilla, a 30-something unhappily married woman who fall for one another.

Warren Cash Valentine is an artist
With the new adult market being flooded with contemporary romances featuring damaged characters, what do you read if you want something that little bit different? The answer is Knock Out Love by debut author Pella Grace, a fantastic little gem of a book that has come from nowhere and has quickly become my new favourite.

Lila is an unhappy woman and a wife that has been taken for granted for far too long. She has done EVERYTHING to please her husband while he has ignored and neglected her. She is

Received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

I had a hard time deciding on how to rate Knock Love Out by Pella Grace. I really enjoyed the first half of this book. You meet Lilla King who is married to a man who doesn’t see her anymore or appreciate all the things she does for him. Lilla is miserable, lonely, and barley has any self-esteem left. Enter Cash Valentine, the young man who helps Lilla live again and builds her back up. As much as I disagree with cheating you sympathize with
Pulled to publish. Used to be a Twilight fanfic called Knock Love Out by danieller12.
This one is a bit hard to rate because there wasn't anything necessarily wrong with it. This was me during the first half of the book (view spoiler)

I felt that the first half the story was realistically written. There are many women out there that have felt this way in their relationships or marriages. Feeling unappreciated, invisible, and resentful. Did I agree with her wanting to have an affair no, but I can understand where she wanted to be noticed

I was given this book for an honest review.

Lilla King is a thirty-something yr old who is in a loveless marriage. As much as she has tried to salvage what is left, she is emotionally abused by her husband.

Lilla decides she is going to have an affair...she goes to a town about 40 miles or so away so she can find someone and not get caught.

Cash (Warren) Valentine is a twenty-four yr old who works in his families grocery store and is a talented artist. Cash is suave with women and he knows how to
****I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***

I would actually give this book 3.5 STARS. The first half of this book I couldn't put down, the second half not so much.

I loved the main characters. Lilla is a 30 something woman that is unhappy with the way that her life and marriage has become. That is until she meets Cash, a 20 something grocery store check-out clerk/artist. She finally decides to take her life back and acts upon her attraction to Cash. I am not a person t
LOVE.....that's this book! just when I thought Cash couldn't swoon me anymore, he explains how to treat a woman to a newborn baby..wowza!
Shouldn't have surprised me I guess. after all, he is from the mother fucking seven-seven-two :)

Thirty something Lilla King has been living a stagnant married life. She’s married to Adam who does not acknowledge any of her efforts no matter how hard or how much she tries to bring the spark back into her marriage. She is only left frustrated, discouraged, and tired of his resentment.

Twenty something Warren “Cash” Valentine is working for his father in their family owned grocery store. The economy has affected the store’s financial status so Cash has been working for free. If he had his way

Loved it. I feel as though its unlike a lot of the things I normally read. Its easy to get wrapped up on the characters.

First of all, in love with the character as well as their names.

Warren Cash Valentine is... really, where are the words to describe such a character. He is unconventional, not your everyday boy on the block. He is a different soul. Almost poetic. A special one. Sees life for everything that is and not at all for what its not. He's straight or not at all. Things are what they
I enjoyed this story tremendously! It is such a fun read even tough we deal with heavy subjects like the end of a marriage and cheating. But the characters are great. Warren Cash Valentine is an artist that also works in the family business to help his father. Lilla King is a costumer from said family business who is very unhappy in a loveless marriage with an emotionally unavailable husband. She feels neglected, discarded, useless and unloved. Cash has a way with the ladies and his charms are i ...more

This book sang to me. A Mariah Carey tune, a happy ending, I loved it all. Congrats, Pella on a beautiful story.

5 outstanding stars!! This was a book so not my style, yet it was. I was in book Heaven the moment I started up until the very last millisecond that I ended it. This is a book I will keep with me forever. This was an unexpected beautiful story of the constant dealing of life.

Cash and Lilla are two totally different people, yet very similar too. Artistic, funny, wonderful, loving, uncertain, lost, found, happy, and sad. They're two people who you'd have as your friends, becau
How does one sum up a book such as this?

The book opens up where we meet the main character Lilla. Lilla is in what one would call a stand still in her marriage, and that is not by her choice. She's fully invested and at her husband's beck and call. Lilla does everything she can to get her husband to feel for her again, to remember the little things that "once was." Which shouldn't be that hard for Adam (her husband), considering she goes the extra mile in everything she does for him; she cooks e

Wow! Just. Wow! I didn't know what to expect when I picked this book up. I don't normally like to read "Cougar" stories or about someone cheating on their spouse. BUT I am SO SO SO happy I bought this. From page one, it had me hooked!

"I want to strangle my husband and slam the door as I leave." Words that I think many women can relate to, but Lilla actually lives through a tough marriage feeling unimportant and unnoticed.

Until Cash steps in. Cash, a much younger guy, is the complete opposite o

I have 3 words for you- Warren "Cash" Valentine!! I so love you!!! You are my new book boyfriend!!!

I am writing this review as soon as I wipe the last tear from my face. I want this to be fresh. This book I thought would be a roll in the sake for a woman looking for something she was missing. Wrong!!! So so wrong! I have read a lot of books this year alone. This book what can I say stole my heart & if any book is capable of keeping a piece of my heart right within it's pages this book will

30-something Lilla King finds herself frustrated with her marriage and with life in general. In her eyes it is the same every day. She takes care of the house, plans the meals, buys the groceries and then prepares those meals without any acknowledgement or appreciation from her husband. Every day he comes home from work and does his own thing like she doesn't exist and if he does comment on what she's done its always critical

Okay this book I would have given 5stars to! But my moral compass just wouldn't allow me (lol)

First thanks to the author for the opportunity to read this book.
I enjoyed it! From the beginning to the end. Wanted a bit more at the end but we can't always have what we want.

The book is about a housewife who's marriage is dull, husband doesn't notice her (I mean really doesn't notice her, what does she have to do other than stand naked in front of him) She does everything for him. He comes home and di
This was a great book up until the end. I loved 24-year old Cash. A surfer dude, old soul living in a young body. I also liked 39-year old Lilla. She knew her imperfect life wasn't all her husband's fault. A lot of it was, but she caused some of the pain also. So, Cash and Lilla meet at his dad's grocery store where Cash is working for free to try and help out his dad in these bad economic times. He's cute, laid back, philosophical and sexy as hell. I received this copy of ARC from Swoon Romance in exchange for an honest review.

I was a little unsure when I first started reading it as I had read something similar a few weeks earlier where the main character in unhappy in her marriage and starts an affair, so I was worried it was going to follow the same format, and I wouldn’t enjoy it. I was so pleased that after reading the first few pages, I could see that I was going to prove wrong. I really enjoyed it, and I didn’t wan
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.

The premise of this story started well, a housewife looking for a possible fling and the cashier willing to indulge with her. Lilla was a woman who appeared to be neglected by her husband. She became part of his routine and no longer his wife and partner. There was no real explanation of how this happened or any real closure on their separation. It just kinda ended. Cash seemed to just be everything her husband wasn't. He gave h
Wow! I'm definitely in love with this book! The author has definitely great writing skills and she deserves to have bestselling books in the very near future! Seriously, I fell in love with Mr. Warren "Cash" "Money" Valentine! He's so cocky, so faithful (a huge plus for me!), so sexy, so cute with his Mariah Carey obsession (LOL!) and his barbie doll, and his couch jumping, hips swaying, fist-pumping while dancing a Michael Jackson song! I was seriously laughing the whole time!

He's just a unique
In Knock Love Out, we get a story one could only dream of. Lilla King is tired of her marriage and life as she knows it. She meets Cash Valentine, a cashier at the grocery store towns away from her home and makes up her mind to have an affair---WHO DOES THAT? Too awesome. So totally something you'd only dream of doing. You know you've thought about it at one point or and steamy affair with that hot guy (or gal) you passed that one time way back when? Okay...maybe it's only me.

This story was absolutely lovely. Sexy. Smart. FUNNY!!! It had everything.

Pella's writing just blew me away. Every sentence packed a punch. I loved Cash's playful personality (AND his cockiness!) and his love for Lilla. He was a hero without verbal or physical boundaries, and it totally worked. Their banter was hilarious, as was Cash's obsession with Mariah Carey. Lilla's vulnerability and honesty were endearing, too. There are so many people stuck in loveless/selfish marriages, and although I i

Recommends it for: Everyone

Fell absolutely head-over-heels in LOVE with Warren "Cash" Valentine. You would be hard pressed not to. This is a story for EVERYONE. It's a beautifully told story that is a true representation of a section of life most people wouldn't normally think about or look deeper into. There's plenty of great top-notch humor that will leave you rolling on the floor to balance out the "Abandon ship!" moments your heart will be screaming time to time. Honest and real. Life isn't perfe

Knock Love Out by Pella Grace was exactly the read I've been looking for. Her voice is unique, talented and one that really catches readers. From page one, I was hooked. Following the relationship that sparked between Cash and Lilla is one I think most women and/or men can relate to. And Pella did an amazing job at capturing all of those emotions that come along with it. I finished this book in one sitting and plan on reading it again. I didn't want to leave the world that was painted through my ...more

This book hooked me right from the beginning. I loved Lilla and I loved Cash!!! The only reason it did not get 5 stars from me is that there were parts I felt went on a little too long and I saw a few typos, which drives me nuts as an editor. But overall, I enjoyed this story from beginning to end. Not only is it a sweet love story, it's HOT HOT HOTTTT!!!
Melissa Petreshock
I usually don't go for contemporary romance, but KNOCK LOVE OUT grabbed me and didn't let go, leaving me wanting more. The dual POV was perfect, seeing the story through both Lilla and Cash's eyes with such clear voices to each.

Definitely, I recommend this to anyone wanting a fun, sexy, keep-you-up-all-night-reading kind of romance novel!
