Amelia, a vampire princess, had her soul sent into a human to escape her life. But something went very wrong with the voodoo and her soul was fractured. Now her old guard and promised husband to be, Damian must find the 5 woman housing Amelia’s soul and return her to her rightful place as queen of the vampires.

Runaway Girl is a highly complex tale with many characters and sub-plots leading to the discovery of each soul hosting human girl. Elaine White has woven an interesting and original tale o

First of all, I LOVE this cover. The cover alone made me want to read this book. In a world populated with vampire books Elaine White gives us a completely original tale filled with complex family relationships. White takes the emphasis off the predatory vampire and human relationship and instead focuses on their world. She takes us inside a complex world of clans and politics, family vendettas and warring lands.

When the vampire princess Amelia grows tired of her restricted life she seeks out th

I was given this book to read by Lovers of Paranormal (LoP) and Elaine White and want to thank them first for allowing this opportunity.
To be honest I have read a number of the reviews to see what others opinions were on this book and was excited to read this book.
I must say that I was extremely confused with the number of characters contained within this book and trying to keep them straight. Characters came and went within this story and I don't know if it was me but I felt that I needed some
I got this book from the author, free of cost, in exchange of an honest review from my side.

When I read the book description I was very eager to read this book as it sounded like a great read about Damian the Vampire soldier and his search for Amelia the missing Vampire Princess who’s soul had fractured and found homes in 5 human girls. I just finished Runaway Girl by Elaine White and absolutely loved it. I know I am slow reader and I dont finish books as fast as many, but I got sidetracked by Percy Jackson, work and my own new novel which has in part, been inspired by this great book.

The best aspect of this book is the fact that it takes place in a world where Vampires are not a big secret, most know about and even go to university with regular folk. I thought that idea was cool, very original indeed.

The book is huge, and afte

An interesting vampire adventure! A vampire (kind of a pain-in-the-butt vampire) gets her soul severed into the living souls of multiple girls. However, her soul need to be reunited so she can marry Damian (aahhh, Damian), and rule the clans! Of course, it’s not going to be that simple, silly readers! White leads the reader through multiple twists and turns, at the end the readers is pleasantly pleased with the direction of the story…and it’s just the beginning!

I love vampire stories (obviously, having written a couple myself, and read a million of them) and I'm always on the lookout for something a little different than the norm. Runaway Girl fell into this category immediately when I read the Prologue.

Runaway Girl begins at a meeting of the Vampire Elders who are discussing the leader's daughter 'Amelia'. As a disruptive influence, she has been magically transferred into more than one human body over a period of two centuries, and has not been part o

Review to followThe premise of Runaway Girl interested me from the start. Amelia, a Vampire Princess with some serious issues decides that she will perform a rite with the aid of a voodoo master. The plan is that she will allow her soul to reside within a human until such a time when she returns into her vampire self, hopefully, having learned how not to be a jaded princess. However, the voodoo master’s master plan doesn’t work the way it was supposed to, and her soul is fractured into the bodie ...more

*I am the author of Runaway Girl*

Runaway Girl is the first book in the Secrets of Avelina Chronicles. It centres on the character Damian, a vampire soldier, and his search for the missing vampire princess, Amelia. His past with Amelia, of both love and hate, send his emotions spiralling from wanting to find her, to wanting to kill her whenever she gets back. However, her soul was split years before, when sent into a human body. Damian must find the five human girls who have the potential of hous

Gaaah, I hate giving 2* star ratings!

Runaway Girl is a tale about one man's quest to piece together the soul of his bride-to-be in order to become an Elder i.e. rule the future clans. When I was first approached about this book I was so excited to begin reading it; it contained the paranormal and an incredibly interesting and original twist: the fracturing of a soul and the hunt to reunite these pieces via 5 girls. Was a little diappointed when I first started to read this as the story seamed to jump about but it all came together and I was overjoyed. I've been interested in Vampires since watching Buffy The Vampire Slayer. This book has a mixture of action, romance and Vampires turning humans. The Story is about trying to get back the Soul of the Clan Elders Daughter who had a spell put on herself after she kept trying to run away. The Soul jumped from human girl to human girl and part of her soul remaine ...more

I received this book By Elaine White for an honest review. Sorry it took me so long life gets in the way of me reading. I appreciate her letting me read & review this great read! This story is about getting the soul back from the clan elders daughter who had a spell put on her after she tried to run away. Also this story has allot to do with being turned into a vampire with falling in love and joining a certain clan to prevent war. I loved how the vampires and humans loved together but i wis ...more

My favorite characters are of course the handsome, soon to be King, Damien and his beloved Kaitlin! I absolutely love their growing romance throughout the story! White has woven this complex story with a lot of strong characters that make their selves stand out alone in the story! A must read for every vampire lover.

I give this book a five star review. Great cover. To me this was a new twist on a vampire story. A vampire gets her soul severed into the living souls of five girls. Damion tries to find the one girl who has the most of Amelia within them. Interesting read on how he goes about doing this. If you like vampire stories, this is a must read.

I'd be the first person to admit that I don't read much vampire or gothic fiction; my last dip into the genre was Ann Radcliffe's classic late eighteenth century gothic novel, The Mysteries of Udolpho almost twenty years ago, and I haven't even seen the box set of Buffy. Nonetheless, maybe being new to this kind of fiction allows me to see it with fresh eyes, and appreciate this book as a novel in its own right, a proper story rather than seeking originality in the genre.

There's certainly a lot

I received this book in exchange for an honest review (LoP or Lovers of Paranormal).

I had such a hard time reading this novel. There were some really good ideas, such as, vampires being out in the open, a soul being divided into pieces, and the quest to piece them back together. But I feel like there were so many things being thrown into the story that it was hard to focus and feel invested in any one situation or character. It was difficult for me to keep track of who was who and what they were
This book, for me, was a little rough around the edges. There is a lot going on in this book and a lot of characters. I've read a book about souls being split but the author took it further and did it with several people. I've read stories that have several stories going on and I just didn't find some of the stories believable and I didn't even really want to follow it anymore. If you are going to have this many characters and this many story lines I feel the story need to be flowing and have a ...more

(This annoys me, the review I posted somehow did not get saved)
There are some very redeeming elements is this story. Especially a world where vampires and humans live together openly makes for an interesting setting. Hospitals that are geared to help those bitten and nightschools to keep vampire kids off the streets make for very original possibilities.

What threw me off the story however, was the constant switching in POV and the meriad of female characters that, because they did not get enough

The world of vampire novels has been resurrected. Not since Anne Rice, have I been so engaged in a novel about Vampires. The storyline moves ever so smoothly and the character development is rich and beautiful.. I cannot wait to get my hands on the other books in this series. If they can make a movie from Twilight and a series from Vampire Diaries, they can certainly make an award winning film from this book series.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review for LoP. I honestly couldn't get through this book. I only read the first three chapters I tried to go further. Amelia a vampire princess didn't want to be a vampire she wanted to be human. Her soul was broken and her family were trying to find the pieces. Overall I didn't like it.
