Two loosely-linked novellas. Kind of an uneasy pairing, but each can be read independently.

“Night” by Anne Stuart. I don’t think short stories are Stuart’s format -- her “bad boy falls in love and reforms” shtick really needs more passage of time to be plausible. This has very much the same undeveloped feel as The Wicked House of Rohan. It's actually a book with 2 novellas, one by Stuart and one by Gayle Wilson which are follow ups to other books they have written. Night--Anne Stuart--this section of the book was not really interesting...characters were not strong and plot was wishy washy...did not care for this author's writing style...Day--only went on to finish the book because I like Gayle Wilson...she picked up the storyline...deepened the plot and added life to the story itself...the ending was not as I expected it to be...another great write from Wilson...
