Book Review originally published here:

In Fighting Malevolent Spirits, author Samantha E. Harris talks about evil spirits, the ones who have zero good intention and are focused on destroying everyone who stands in their way. The author talks about her darkest, creepiest and most terrifying encounters, ranging from poltergeists to demons. While I’m still skeptical about whether or not demons exist, I enjoyed all parts of this book, including the ones focuse

FIGHTING MALEVOLENT SPIRITS by SAMANTHA Harris is a well written book about demons who come to visit and want to stay. In come Ms. Harris and company. This book explains what these demons/malevolent spirits are and gives case studies/experiences. This author is local to the area (Michigan) and I know of all the places she writes of. From what she writes I am very glad I have never had this sort of experience. I highly recommend this book to all who are interested in the spirit world. Now I would ...more
I found this book to be very interesting and it was nice to get a significantly less biased version of the supernatural (especially compared to what we have now-a-days in the form of "reality TV".

The stories were definitely haunting and I was up for a few nights unable to put it down. Always wondering what would happen next.

I would recommend this book for anyone who is open to the concept of the supernatural and is interested in understanding the dangers of being unprepared and how to protect yo

I liked this book a lot as it tells the story of an ordinary girl who becomes a godsend for many people terrified by demons in their homes. Also helped that I know many of the places as in Michigan were I have relatives. Sam Harris is clearly a credible and likeable demonologist and I can tell how grateful people were that she helped rid them of the nightmare they are going through which in many cases was down to previous tenants and their activities. Excellent and compelling. It also features a ...more

Well, we’ve been down this road before where I reviewed similar novels by similar experts in the field and got into some grief with the ghost writer getting a bit angsty about my review. Soooo I’m going to tread carefully with this one!

Fighting malevolent spirits is well written, with some interesting vignettes documenting the strange things that occur in the homes of Sam’s clients. Taken as a purely fictional book (and I’ll leave it up to the reader as to whether you’re reading this as fiction
Very interesting read & helpful guide by my friend, Samantha. I'd recommend this book to anyone experiencing negative activity, or just curious about the subject matter. 5 stars!
A look into a subject that truly should frighten you, because it's real...demons, fallen angels, Watchers, etc. Unlike most media information, articles, books, etc. Samantha isn't your typical demonologist. Her beliefs are what allow her to perform "cleansings" for families and people who Unfortunetly have the attention from inhuman entities. The stories (experiences) she tells are interesting, yet for those hoping to get scared, only 1 story really did that for me. I don't share the same exact ...more
This was a very useful book. It was a nice, quick read, as well.
