I received this book through a first reads giveaway. Overall I enjoyed reading this book. This book is a mystery involving a data breach in medical records and multiple deaths. I thought the characters and plot were well developed, however I thought some of the personal stories, particularly about Ethan and his son, were just thrown in and didn't pertain much to the overall plot. Serpents Unwound is an action/adventure story that captures the reader's attention from the beginning. It has interesting characters and the plot thickens as you keep reading to find out what is going to happen at the end. At times it can be predictable, though, but it is a quick read and maintains a fast pace throughout.

I received this book as a prize in a First Reader Giveaway.

This book was a pleasant surprise. I thought a book by a first time author on computer hacking and medical records would be dry and heavy on advanced computer terms. Instead Mr. Mudgett wrote a well paced and easy to follow mystery.

The characters were interesting and not cookie cutters. However I did drop my rating 1 star because of a character risking everything for someone who they had very little interaction with bothered as it seemed

I got this as a first reads giveaway, and I was pleasantly surprised to really like this book. Let me say that I would easily give this 4 stars, but three things made me give it 3.5, rounded down to 3. First the positives: good pace, believable characters, satisfactory ending. This would make for a great series! My issues: (1) the getaway vehicle was totally ridiculous, (2) Evelyn was too flat of a stereotypical "fiery redhead" for me, and (3) the increasing number of typos and total disregard ...more
