I enjoyed this tale of a young woman traveling West to be close to her sister. I really liked the author's inclusion of the "cholera" episode while on the wagon train. I'd never heard of the treatment used and found it fascinating. I thought it very sweet and endearing that Paulina - an unmarried woman took on the responsibility of the baby when the parents died. Of course, she didn't remain unmarried long. She and Samuel made a very cute couple. An enjoyable and interesting read. Thank you.

Book Two: Second sister takes to the trail headed to Denver City...and another book filled with danger, adventure, friendships, death, marriage, babies, and being reunited with family. Amazing what these pioneers to the Old West had to do to survive. Keep reading this series - it's worth it!

Its an ok read but the characters were not as well developed as in the first book.I didn't care much what happened to them. I also thought the H/H very horny and their encounters too descriptive. I couldn't recommend it for young readers and I know I won't read it again. To each his own.

Very interesting book

I had read the first book. I then had interest in keeping up with the family. I read this book completely from beginning to end in one night.

This was another quick, but enjoyable read. I liked the storyline and think it gives an accurate idea into what it was like enduring the hardships of life on a wagon train.

“I had arrived here with my chaperones, Mary and Abner Chandler, who were homesteading to California. I planned to live in Colorado, staying with my sister, until I found a husband. Hannah said there were plenty of miners looking for brides, as the men vastly outnumbered the women in Denver City.” 0 likes
