Have you ever been walking through a crowd and overheard something that made you stop and had you “stuck on stupid”? Well, that happened to me this past weekend. Eric and I were hosting dinner party and as I was passing a group of ladies I overheard them discussing a book they recently read for their book club. I heard words and phrases like “gargoyles”, “had to squeeze my legs together”, and “I had to find my husband immediately”. I wasn’t really sure what a gargoyle was but when I

I was so excited to see the Stone Series in a boxed set! I like to binge read series and this is my little slice of gargoyle heaven. <3 Back to back I indulged in Vaughn, Rhys and Armand. Thank You AC Warneke <3

Vaughn and Melanie. They get us started, introduce the idea of gargoyles, of a gargoyle giving up his nights. Vaughn is the mild brother. He isn't dark and brooding like Armand or funny and light like Rhys. Melanie is strong, but flighty and can see behind the veil. Their story sets

Somehow this little gem written by a fellow Army wife slipped by me for a while. This was kind of a good thing, because I got to read them all back to back. This was also a bad thing because I was a total book zombie for a week. Then it took me another week to mentally process all this wonderfulness. I blame a friend of mine because she failed to mention the tag lines 'statue molesting' 'high flying 69 of hotn

So, finished up the Stone Passion Trilogy last night. These three books revolve around gargoyles (three brothers, Armand, Vaughn, and Rhys) and other supernatural beings as well as twin sisters (Melanie and Jenna) and the daughter of one of the sisters (Ferris). The first book, Stone Lover, focuses on Melanie and Vaughn. It follows their love story as well as flesh out the many characters in the book. The second book is Stone Romance. This fleshes out the story of Rhys and Jenna and adds more to ...more

I'll confess I'm not really into paranormal romances at all (despite being a fan of the Twilight series). However, I wanted to give this series a shot after loving Blind Attraction. There were moments in each of the books that I loved, but also segments that I just wanted to skip through. The moments I loved were the more traditional romantic moments and the parts I disliked were pretty strictly lacking in magic. The last book was probably my least favorite because of the amount of magic, but I ...more

i so loved these 3 books! such a refreshing change to the vampire/wolf paranormal romance.
they deal with three brothers, Vaughn, Ryhs and Armand who stand as gargoyles by day, but are men by night.
each brother in turn finds his love, his life and then loses it, only to find it again!
i'll not go into great detail in plot lines, but these books are steeped in ancient myths and legends, greek gods and their descendants, and all sorts of mythological creatures!
the third book does get a little compl

One and Two were decent. Three was a rollercoaster. There was sooooo much happening and I had to concentrate from time to time to keep it straight in my head. The series could have used a pre-reader, but none of the mistakes would make you want to burn your Kindle (I've been there). I had some questions, but overall, really liked the series.

Like most writers, I spend most of my time telling myself stories and occasionally writing them down when they get too loud to remain in my head. The characters are also very demanding, wanting to go out into the world to be discovered by millions of adoring readers, though they are most satisfied with having only a few readers that truly love them. From the gargoyles that sit on top of the roofs ...more
