Incubus (The Incubus Saga #1)

A thoroughly enjoyable read, I don't have many specifics to comment on. I liked that Nathan wasn't perfect, and if anything Jim is the 'better' brother. More even-tempered, more empathetic. But that's why it works! And Sasha... oh Sasha. Love. Him.
They did a good job of wrapping up one story line but leaving an overarching plot, that I'm sure will carry throu ...more
With that being said I have to say that I absolutely loved this book and I can't wait for book two. In Incubus we get to meet Nathan and Jim Grier. They are twins with a twist see because Nathan is human and Jim is a changeling. As his powers come on stronger he is in danger and Nathan is willing to do anything to save his brother from any ha ...more
I really thought I was going to love it form the bio, but you never know. This was a requested review from the author and I was excited to get the chance to read it. BOY was I the one who made out in this situation as I got the Chance to read this EPIC book! Incubus books are some of my favorites, its something about them that I just Love. This one was definitely a stay from the norm but in a great way. Heads up, it is a gay romance, but a really ...more

Second thing I have to say is that this is my first review which will be short and sweet because I personally have nothing bad to say about it except I wish there were 10 more books to come. Sadly there is not...
I never review or comment on books or basically anything unless I really feel the need to. This book made me want to take the time to write a review.
It is everything I personally love jammed into 372 pages.

This was one of those books that just called to me and seemed like something I would love, and I’m so glad I trusted my instincts because they were so right! I devoured this first book, then immediately devoured the next one, then waited an agonizing five months for the third one and re-read them all back to back, not wanting to miss a single detail.
The best thing about these books was the emotion. Every single scene, every single word, had more emotion behind it than I even t ...more
This is the first ever "gay paranormal romance" novel that I have had the pleasure to read. Truthfully, I wasn't even aware that the genre existed. Having given up on the the genre years ago, due to finding myself more depressed than fulfilled from the wonderful happy endings the "straight" characters received, I am pleased to find out I can enjoy them once again.
Despite the unlikelihood of a (up to this point) straight man suddenly discovering feelings for another man this story is ...more
It’s wonderful what you can find when you take a chance on something you’d never normally read. This book for instance. I never thought I’d find myself reading a supernatural romance, especially not a gay romance, but to define it by just that, I think, would be wrong. It’s one of those stories that is so many things, that I would find it hard to classify it as one in particular. From Nathan’s fight to understand and survive his unexpected situation with his incubus companion, to his sibling rel...more
This is a really bare bones summary, but anything more would be giving too much away. The world building here is really outstanding. Anyone who is familiar with fae myths and legends will recognize some of the aspects, but the author puts her own twist on things as well. It’s well developed and the author does a good job about not overwhelming us with information, but also providing what we need to know. It never felt like an info dump. I really liked that aspect. ...more

A gripping tail, for which I am looking forward to future installments. I was a little concerned if I would enjoy the book because of the romance between two of the main male characters, as it isn't usually something that would interest me. But the book is well written, and I found myself getting absorbed by the story and thinking about it when I wasn’t reading - a sign of a fantastic book. The author was able to portray the romantic side of the story very well, and I quickly got caught up in i ...more
Well I didn't think I was going to enjoy reading this as it is a M/M and the once I read so far I really didn't like much but this book well it rocked my world lol. I loved it, the characters were well written and you really got sucked into the book rooting for them all. There is so much more in the book than mets the eye and it wasn't distasteful. It was really a great book to read and if you never read any M/M books but love paranormal ...more
Incubus (The Incubus Saga, #1)
Holy cow. I’m going to go into this too much because I don’t want to give stuff away. Just let me say holy cow. I’m a fan of scifi and fantasy for a reason: the world building. Let me tell you now the world building is exceptional. Then throw in fae myths and legends, and I’m good to go. Oh, don’t forget twists and turns!
Too many times, stories in the genre can turn into info dumps, but thank God that didn’t happen. Nathan and Jim Grier f ...more
I absolutely loved this story. It was well written, the characters were fleshed nicely and the writing was clear.
The characters were easy to become attached to. I felt like I was a part of their little group and I understood how Walter felt- Not being able to touch and help out they way that was needed!
Even though the story started in the middle of it all it was easy to understand and follow what was going ...more

With that said the book is amazing, just simply and utterly amazing. As the author know, I utterly love the series and this book was an immaculate lead for the series. So if you love the supernatural, not so everyday people struggling for love and family, then I more then recommend this book. It's an convulsive page turner and will have you on the edge of you're ...more
