THE 92ND TIGER. (1973). Michael Gilbert. ***1/2.
Gilbert is one of my favorite suspense/thriller writers, but he let himself go a little soft on this novel. The book is blurbed: “Escape reading at its best.” This is a perfectly true statement. In fact, you can almost see this book as a film like one of the Indiana Jones series. It features as a hero, Hugo Greest.
