SEDUCED BY HIS TARGET has one perilously dangerous predicament after another, and every unexpected situation that crops up is packed with lots of emotion. The heroine has been in hiding for much of her life, but it finally looks as though her time of being undetected is over. Only one man seems to want her kept safe, yet her death will only be hastened if she is wrong about his intentions. Gail Barrett concludes her Buried Secrets trilogy with an intensely suspenseful novel, where feelings are g ...more
Really good book. After escaping from her abusive home and living on the streets for awhile, Nadine went on to become a plastic surgeon. She specializes in helping battered women and children. One of those terrorists is Rasheed, who is actually an undercover CIA agent. Rasheed is horrified by what Nadine expects to happen to her and tries to figure out how to ...more

I usually am not drawn to heroines with such a bleak, abusive background as the three in this series, but I really enjoyed each of the books. Gail Barrett does a fantastic job with edge-of-your seat suspense. Her heroines not only survived horrible childhoods but became strong, complete, successful women before they met their respective heroes.

I've loved the first two books in the series, and eagerly looked forward to the final, concluding book when the person behind all the killings would be revealed. Personally I found this last book a bit disappointing and lacking in the excitement and suspense of the others, but still very well written. I'll be looking out for more from Gail Barrett.

"Intriguing and suspenseful with a complex and well-crafted plot, this story will hook readers in from the first page. Add to that heroic characters and a tender love story, and Barrett delivers one exciting read." RT Book Reviews, rated 4 1/2 stars

I was glad to see it all come together in the end. I still think the first book is my favorite but I love how different each story is.

Or daydream her way through elementary school, spend high school rea ...more
