This one was simply ok. Still love the series though.
I am done, thank goodness. This was like a sick addiction. I couldn't stop. I will read Mattias' book when it comes out, but for now, DONE.

2 stars because that's probably what the whole series deserves but I couldn't stop reading so that must be worth something. Also, the plot was a completely unbelievable mess and full of holes (like every single one of these books, so no surprises there). But most of all, not enough Chey and Sander in this book. Again.

The worst part is that I'm going to miss

I read this book in about two hours. I just couldn't put it down, It physically pained me to rip my eyes from the words on the page.

From the very start, BOOM, it just grabbed your attention and wouldn't let me go. Throughout the novel I felt tense, sad, happy, relieved, angry, even more sad... The rollercoaster of emotions was unending. Unfortuntely the book was, and now I need another dose of Latvala.

I love that we get character progression throughout the series, and yet, do we really know an

I cannot sit here and say that I 'forgot' how great this series was or how I 'forgot' what a great author Danielle Bourdon is either. In fact, I cannot sit here and pretend to even say that I 'forgot' some of the storyline since the release of the 4th book in the series. Because, if I were to state all these things, I would simply be lying.

This series is a series you'll never forget. The characters all become a part of you and leave you with swaddled in a cocoon of warm and fuzziness. Bloody bri

Just finished the book - book 5 in the Latvala Royals Series - and it was EVERY BIT AS GREAT as the first four! I couldn't put it down! Bought and read it in one day. Once again Danielle takes us on an incredible journey of Chey and Sanders love. We are also drawn into a world of one mans greed and what he will do to get what he wants. We meet a new character, the hunky friend of Mattias ( who shall remain nameless because I don't do spoilers) who is every bit as hot as those royal men. I'm exci ...more

So sad to see the series end - there are splinter stories that could be told - where was Mathias? who is Leander. Love the characters, the fairy tale with plenty of intrigue and deception. Please say there will be more to the story.

Let me say that Danielle Bourdon had me hooked from "Heir Untamed"-- were it all started. The Wrath of the King was AMAZINGGG from the very 1st chapter. I had to apologize ahead of time to my husband and pooch that i would be screaming, laughing and crying because i knew i would and boy was i a hot mess.
Like I said from the beginning it was a rollercoaster, action packed and just kept getting better and better. Who would want to do such harm? Why?
This booked wrapped up King Dare's and Queen Ch

This is the last book in the series. It isn't your typical Cinderella story. It doesn't stop when the girl gets the guy. It is full of complications and obstacles at every turn. How can you live happily ever after when its against the wishes of a corrupt king and queen, against members of your family, and against the councilmen of the nation. It's not always a happy story and its completely real. It's one of the best series I've read. There are so many twists and there are times it's heart wrenc ...more

I am at aww with this book!!! Finally after all the drama a great ending came out of it! What i really want to know is, is there a 6th book??? I would really like to know what else happens in their lives w Paavo. He has to come back w something else. But i also want more of mattias and sander and Natalia and Chey!!! Even w/ launder and wynn i want more love and drama!!!! ❤❤❤
Did I hear this is the last book?? No way!! Where was Mattias? What happens to Paavo? I do like the HEA as far as Chey and Sander go but I would have loved to have a storyline with Mattias. Either way this was a great series...loved the roller coaster ride Danielle!

Well damn, so much for Sander and Chey's HEA.

This book slams us straight back into the action.

This book moves the series in a slightly different direction. Given that our main man Sander is in a compromised position for a large portion of the book Chey is thrust into making hard and fast decisions not only to protect the king but to protect her baby.

A few people didn't enjoy this instalment but I loved it - more politics - more of Chey being Queen - more mystery and intrigue.

This book was such a let down. I got through books 1-4 in two weeks and it took me over a month to get through this one. The genre and main characters changed out of nowhere and I lost all interest within the first 20 pages. It was a good book nonetheless, but there was an expectation that was not met. I hate starting a series and not finishing it, but I guess there is a first time for everything.

Holt Toledo Batman, that was awesome. As with the other books for this series it id action packed from the very 1st page.
This was great ending to a fantastic series and I have to say I am kind of devastated that us actually finished, I can live in hope there will be more books for it, there seems like so more to happen for this family and the country of Latvala.
This book starts with Sander involved and a target of an IED on the caravan that he was in. Seriously hurt he is in a Coma, with Latvala

I finally read the 5th book to this series. There was a good time gap plus reading many other books from the time I read the fourth book to when book 5 came out. When I picked up book 5, I couldn't wait to read it. After reading the first couple of chapters, I just couldn't connect with the characters or the story. As I mentioned before, I had read many different books before the final book came out, and I just couldn't get back into this story without rereading the previous books. Unfortunately ...more

Possible spoilers ahead.

This was absolutely horrible!!! All it was was a story about a whiny prince who didn't get his way and the king who bullied his way back to the throne.

Waaaay too many inconsistencies. First off, Paavo had no need to hire Wynne. That was a convenience for HER. secondly, where was Mattias? Oh wait...the book doesn't say. All we know is he just HAPPENS to be indisposed when the king HAPPENS to get ambushed so Paavo just HAPPENS to be back up king. Seriously?? Wouldn't it h

"The Wrath of the King" is another great read in the Latvala Royals series. This time, the action starts from the very first page. A convoy carrying the king and his security details is attack by an IED. The blast knocks the king into a coma. Since Mattias is out of the country and unreachable, Paavo stages a revolt and steps in as King. He also manages to blackmail various officials into signing a bill dividing up Latvala.

Meanwhile, a very pregnant Chey refuses to leave Sander's side while he i

What an awesome series. And it’s just that a SERIES. You don’t watch your favorite T.V. show expecting to see the end the first time you watch it. This first book doesn’t end the way you want it to so if you’re not into buying books with in a series then don’t read this one because you will not be able to put it down. You will also be disappointed in how it ends. Now if you’re willing to stick it out in the long run you will be pleasantly surprised. It is an awesome series full of tragedy, compr ...more

Can I just say how happy I am that I stumbled across this series will checking out goodreads listopia? From Heir Untamed up to The Wrath of the King, my toes were curling from all the sudden twists and turns of the plot that I have to say, I am down right not expecting it. The very moment I found out who Sander really was made me pause for a good 30 seconds and let out a 'holy shit' because from then on, I knew this book and the series would never fail to surprise me.

This book had its ups and downs...
1. I fell in love with Mattias from the beginning and I just cannot believe he was not included within the book.... And then he shows up so mysteriously the very end and we don't even know what had happened to him
2. In addition I felt that Leander was so downplayed we never knew who he was or how he had a connection with the Mattias I didn't like that the author kept that private
3. There was absolutely no flirtation between Pavo and Wynn
4. The relationship betw

While it had annoyed me why mattias suddenly disappeared , i have forgiven him after reading Mattias LOL and Leander too. I must say i am a sucker for royal romances like this but this story does not play in the cloud nine to the point of unbelievably fictitious, that's why while yes there were loopholes and cracks that could have been plotted out and filled in better by danielle, ii stil give the books 5 stars because i truly enjoy them and they do not dwell so much in countless sex scenes and ...more

I quite sad this has ended. It was a good series. As always, Chey can infuriate me with her actions, but her friends and family are just awesome. I was disappointed that Mattias wasn't even in this one, but I do know he has his own series and I will definitely get my hands on that.
Everything comes full circle in this book. It's the type of ending you'd expect and want for these two love birds and their family/ friends. I would definitely recommend this book to the ladies (and maybe fellas)who li

This was the final in the series and ends the story of Queen Chey and King Sander in a satisfying way. The books should be read in order in order to best appreciate the story. In this offering, Sander's brother sets out to steel the throne from him and divide the country into regions. The story follows his path of destruction using blackmail, murder, kidnapping and manipulation to advance his cause. Sander lies in a coma oblivious to what is happening while pregnant Chey is held hostage. Her bes ...more

I loved this book, but was hard pressed to get passed the first 200 pages. It was painful with agonizing anticipation. I stopped often knowing the situation would go from bad to worse and not knowing when it would end. The only solace I had was knowing there was another book in the series. I will read all the books that contain the Latvala Royals. The stories are fun, entertaining and easy to read (non emotionally speaking). But as with all her books in this series, I am left with questions at t ...more

This story wasn't near as good as the others in the series. It might have been because there wasn't enough romance, there was too much talk of coups and the like, or that Wynn was somewhat annoying. In reality, it was probably a combination of them all. There was little interaction between Sander and Chey, and what there was just fell flat. Mattias was missing, and it looks like that will lead to another book. I'm not sure if I'd read it until after the reviews are in, so read quickly just in ca ...more

This one was just an "OMG" overload for me, safe to say that I didn't sleep too much!! That Paavo is really something else! I was so nervous at the beginning, but I was truly satisfied when Chey rose up when it was time as well as Nat!! I was so proud of how Nat's character formed in this one as well as Gunners and Wynns. I've been on this journey with the "Royal" family and very glad of how everyone has grown thru the adversities. I will def be reading all five books again and again and again.. ...more

What a gripping series, fantastic. The character development throughout the series was wonderful. I did miss Mattias in this book as he had become one of the favorites. I feel the book 4 and 5 could have been merged into one. But what a terrific way to express emotions. I could visualize every action, every emotion, when someone was escaping or in hospital. And it is one of the few books about which I dreamt after finishing and disappointed that its finished. Fantastic and congratulations to the ...more

Probably my favorite book in this series. Not only did I find the action and the plot in this book a bit more engrossing than previous books in the series, but I also thought that Danielle Bourdon did a great job of showing growth in all of the characters. It was refreshing to see repaired family dynamics among many of the royals, as well as to delve a bit further into Wynn and Chey's relationship as well. Overall, this was a wonderful way to finish this series and I look forward to starting the ...more

This was a bit hair raising, action packed and suspenseful. This book had lots of crazy twists and turns. The best part is the ending ended well. It was a satisfying ending to a long series. I was lucky enough to have been able to read all 5 books on one long weekend and i was hooked. There's a definate charm and wit to the writing. It's a contemporary fantasy story about royalty but had a bit of a historical romance feel - which I love. I was so swept up in Chey and Sander's chemistry and story ...more
