Star Catcher has a very promising premise. An alien race must look to their planetary neighbors in hopes of saving the race due to reproductive complications that are threatening extinction. The Artanians haven’t carried a pregnancy to term in so long this threat has them looking at the close genetic match of the humans for a surrogacy program.

After seeing the heartache his sister suffers due to her inability to conceive Noth (it’s a double namesake) makes it his life’s work to discover a remed

My Rating:
GOOD: The characteristics of a 3 heart book include: interesting characters, a decent storyline, and unique story elements; there was something about the story that I didn’t completely connect with; the book is a solid read. I would recommend it to a friend.
My Thoughts:
Star Catcher was an interesting story but definitely not my usual fare since I don't read much sci-fi or fantasy-ish type stories. Despite my aversion to those types of books, I think Ms. Vale did an excellent job cr

While I do enjoy a deep Sci-Fi with an intricate and creative worldbuilding, once in a while I want a change. This was a fun and fast alien romance that doesn't take itself seriously. It was great for a lighter, low-angst and high smex read.

Noth's alien race is dying off since his people are dealing with infertility. They search for an alternate answer and discover the race known as humans are compatible. A plan is made to gather a group of human females and experiment with artificial inseminati

This was a fun way to pass an afternoon. I really liked Noth and Stella, and their steamy relationship build up. I wasn't sure how the breeding program was going to end up, and even at the finish of the book I am not sure how well it will go down with the human females on earth, but I definitely want to read more *crosses fingers Kimber Vale will make this a series*. Overall, this novella was a well written and sexy read.

I'm all for a little sci -fi action, but this was a little lackluster. I liked the heroine Stella though. She had spirit, she was very straight forward with Noth-she thought he was hot and wanted to sleep with him. She wasn't looking for love, but of course that's what she found. Noth was a quick learner to the ways of Earth women-their wants and needs- he didn't waste any time falling for Stella. Krael was great as the villain too. Its refreshing for an alien woman to be the "bad guy." It just ...more

Kimber Vale is an avid reader, writer, and gardener. She worked as an RN once upon a time, but is currently a stay-at-home mom to three busy hobbits. She is fortunate to have an understanding husband who never refuses to help with her writing research. He answers questions like, “What do you think eyeballs taste like?” and “Does the term ‘cock-rockets’ sound more like a joke or an explosively good ...more
