An "I Spy" book of sorts that the whole family can enjoy. Beautiful, awe-inspiring nature photographs give readers glimpses of animals, reptiles and insects in their own natural habitats. The focus of the book is on the physical appearance of animals and how it impacts predators, prey and survival. Brief but informative text highlights unique facts about some lesser-known species living in habitats around the world.

Great combo of nature photography highlighting how the coloring and patterns of animals provides camouflage in their natural habitat. The format invites a I Spy type of bend on the subject. The task of finding the pictures will be far simpler than any I Spy book, but it drives home the point in a powerful way. I used this book as more of a hide and seek book than for information. It does have information about the animals you find in each habitat, but I didn't read those as often as just having them find the animal in the picture.

This is a fantastic book! Each of Earth's environments are shared along with what can "vanish" in them. A must for a elementary classroom.
