This beautiful, sad, erotic novella follows a newlywed French woman as her life falls apart. Or is it just beginning? The writing is crisp and the characters well drawn for such a short work. My only complaint with the story was that it ended too soon!

I picked this up from the free pile at work, because I thought the cover was purty. The text inside, unfortunately, was not very interesting. Sketchy, more like a film script than a novel. A tiresome art film.

This is a slim little book, and I sped through it, but I didn't get it at all--didn't sympathize with the characters, didn't understand their motivations. Maybe it's just me.
