A boring novel. Christian Jacq writes it well, detailed, with research and the historical care required, altough it just isn't good. The narrative is slow and tedious, the main characters fail to captivate the reader.

Perhaps the real Akhesa don't fit well in a historical fiction and Tutankhamon wasn't much more than a pharaoh destined to oblivion. Historical figures in the shadows of great rulers of the same period of the Egyptian timeline.

I always have been fascinated by Egypt, the pyramids and its mythology, since I was a little kid. Christian Jacq wrote many books about it and his really good.
This one was no exception. :)
