Not as good a touch-and-feel book as the "That's not my..." series, but I've been reading this book every day to my not-quite-one-year-old for a couple of weeks and it's yet to pall for me. I love happy Little Puppy and the rhyming text is fun.

It's little puppy's birthday and he's "one excited pup." Kids can feel the ruffled texture of his cake, flip the ribbons on his part hat and flip a flap to discover all of his friends. A brief board book great for a first or second birthday.

As "touch-and-feel" books go, this isn't as interactive as others I've seen, but this book does rhyme, and rhyming covers over a multitude of sins.

With that being said, my daughter and I both liked this book, I just don't know why.
