There is an Immortal group of warriors; The Knights of White, these men were all attacked somewhere in the past by one of the Darkland Beasts, but saved my a man named Salvatore. Now they are re-grouped to fight their enemy and Jag is their leader. Jag is one of the strongest among the Knights, but he can feel his beast within him fighting for release, to become the very thing they are fighting against. But lately Jag is dreaming about a woman, who not only calls to his soul but also to his beas ...more

angels vs demons... knights of white vs darkland beasts...

I have loved everything Lisa Renee Jones writes, and this is no exception..It was an easy weekend reader. The characters leave nothing to be desired, they are well rounded and of course, HOT! I liked this especially because it finishes..so many books now leave you with a huge cliffhanger and waiting for MONTHS to find out...The Beast Within in part of a series, but it's the old fashioned series where it's more about a group of people and what happens to them individually, so you don't need to re ...more

Went back and read the first story after reading the others. It was very good and worth going back. Not only to get a little background info but also because Jag's story is good. The books are different enough from each other to enjoy. Sometimes in a series the romance is too similar in the way they met and whatnot, but these are nice and different while staying with the series' characters. I'm already excited for the future stories, especially of Rock and Rhinehart! I really like this series an ...more

Recommends it for: paranormal Romance
It is about a man who has been turned to a creature that sounds like a cross between a beast and vampire. The heroine is trying to help her sister who has been bitten by one of these creatures. The hero and heroine are both having dreams about each other. They met and have to try and figure out if their dreams mean they are supposed to be together or is it a manipulation by an enemy.

This book was pretty good. I would read this again. I liked the creativity, the characters, and the suspense. I'm going to enjoy reading the rest of this series. This is more a book for passing the time, but one I would pick rather than run across. I would really like to know what happens with Max. Enjoy

Definitely my sort of thing and it started off pretty good... but then there seemed to be reams and reams of internal monologuing and I just couldn't be bothered.

Sory, not for me.

I am reading this as part of the 'Knights of White Bundle' (to save money) so I am rating each story, but not the collection itself.

Read, originally, in 2007. Enjoyable quick read with decent world building.
