je n'ai pas du tout accroché. Ce roman ressemble beaucoup à un manga sans images. le personnage principal est beaucoup trop cool pour moi. la traduction est comme ci comme ça et je trouve que c'est plein de clichés. Pleins de clichés bien cools, du pirate informatique trop cool, au gang des rues trop cool, à la biographie trop cool d'un rappeur américain qui ressemble de façon trop cool à fifty cents que le narrateur écrit, passe temps branché trop cool, pour un magazine undergound trop cool. Une suite plaisante et rapide à lire. Les descritptions du quartier d'Ikebukuro sont toujours aussi fascinantes et très exactes ( c'est amusant de reconnaître à travers les descitpions des endroits où l'on a déjà été ^^). Le seul bémol est que l'issu des "enquêtes" de Makoto est assez prévisible... Mais Ikebukuro West Gate Park n'en reste pas moins un sympathique moment de lecture.

one of the short stories from this book i love is about a boy who
only trust 'number' he count everything, he remember every number he sees or heard. a smart twisted mind kid with very crazy story behind....

Ira Ishida is a Japanese novelist, actor, and TV commentator.

After graduating from Seikei University, he worked for a number of different advertising production companies and as a freelance copywriter. In 1997, he published his first novel, Ikebukuro West Gate Park, which won the 36th All Yomimono New Mystery Writer's Prize. In 2003, he won the Naoki Prize for 4-Teen.
