I am a sucker for books that show rooms and homes where people really live. This book includes rooms of artists, writers, gardeners, even a very simple but completely useful space that belongs to a nun. I want the creatively cluttered ones. I want the zen serene ones.

It was lovely to see where Maya Angelou and many other respected professionals with hectic, harried lives go for a sense of calm and how different each space was and what a peaceful environment meant for each of these women. Slightly outdated, with too many big names and big incomes. The best parts were the pictures on the cover and the quotes from [Gifts From The Sea], which I now want to read.
