This read was an absolute delight. The characters antics will have you laughing and the recalling of life-events will conjure your own childhood memories, all without losing the serious side of the story. You'll pity and admire the kids in this book, at the same time. A thoroughly enjoyable read with feeling.

I once called it "the greatest book ever written by a fat Mancunian called MP living in Brisbane." I stand by those words.
Read it and see for yourself.
