OUTWARD BORNE is one of the more high-tech, or true-to-science space sagas. While some observe many of the laws of physics, OUTWARD BORNE bows to chemistry, biology, economic, as well as physical constraints. Rather than conclude that a ‘manned’ interstellar mission of alien abduction is impossibly improbable, Outward examines what mus

It is... improved. Still has a lot of spelling errors, still has some moments of characters knowing more than they ought to or otherwise behaving "conveniently", still feels a little disjointed, a lot of the dialog feels awkward and stilted, and things like that.

But it hangs together a lot better, there are fewer really bad spelling errors and the like, and in all I suspect it would be of interest to those who really like the "idea" part of sci fi.

OUTWARD BORNE - Alien Abduction and Return

by R. J. Weinkam

Outward Borne is hard science fiction saga of the Galaxy's first 'manned' interstellar voyage. This full length novel describes the harsh and demanding conditions required of an interstellar voyage in which the constraints of not only physics, but also biology and chemistry are all held to the extent possible. There is no warp-speed, teleportation, or artificial gravity, yet the necessary requirements of a self sustaining

Interesting concept, but *very* clumsy execution.

This book could definitely do with a good pass from a decent copy-editor, I've found many obvious errors (many that spell-check or the like wouldn't catch, as they're wrong word choices rather than misspelled words)

The author uses an omniscient viewpoint, rather intrusively. And he doesn't always seem to keep proper track of what various characters do and do not know.

I also suspect he doesn't know *quite* as much as he thinks he does about some of

Sci Fi is not normally my style, but I found this book very enjoyable and appreciate the author's creativity. It was a crazy ride and a very original concept.
