Ava Ramirez has known happier days.

Suffering from fever and all alone at home on New Year's Eve, she is unceremoniously dumped by her fiance just six weeks before their Valentines Day wedding.

But instead of falling to pieces, Ava is surprised to find that she is more relieved than upset by this recent turn of events. So much so that she cancels all the wedding arrangements

So we start off by meeting Ava and hearing her awful news of Connor telling her that he doesn't think he loves her and can't marry her. This happens 6 weeks before they were too meet at the altar. So after careful consideration, *Insert Sarcasm*, She decides to continue on her honeymoon to Italy. After a crap flight she meets Nico. And really the story just unfolds from here. Nico getting to know Ava and vice versa. And really..that's all there is to it.

To be honest I was quite bored with this

This was a slow moving book. I got this as a freebie. For some reason this book felt kinda like it dragged along. The characters were ok and their personalities were good, but overall the whole book just felt a little bland to me. Kinda like pancakes without the butter or syrup. This is part of a series but I'm honestly not going to read the rest of the books. I think this was written correctly and it flowed pretty well, but I just couldn't get into the characters. There's definitely potential ...more

Thanks to Ms Zante, I have now been to a small part of a country I always wanted to visit, gorgeous Italy. I enjoyed the well-written descriptions of the countryside.

I enjoyed this light, pleasant read. The characters are charming without being over the top, there is no screaming, rampant sex which goes on for page after page(which makes a change)and the ending is satisfactory - of course!

A nice afternoon read - could have been a little longer - and good fun :)

Right from the beginning I thought I've read thus before, woman gets dumped before her wedding, goes on solo honeymoon, meets "man of her dreams". So when I typed the title onto Goodreads, I had read a story similar to this back in 2013....also called Honeymoon For One.
I didn't like the story concept back then, still find it ridiculous no .

It's not that I'm not into romance, it's how everything just always seem to work out just perfectly/coincidentally if you ask me....
Merissa (Archaeolibrarian)
This story is about Ava who is jilted just as the New Year arrives, six weeks before her wedding. She decides that she will still go on her honeymoon, alone. Due to some mix ups she thinks that the guy running the hotel is just the driver, he thinks she is a widow so let the story commence.

The setting is lovely, the characters are (mainly) likeable and you find yourself wanting them to have their HEA.

I'm all up for some jilted bride action. There just wasn't much kick to it. Wanted to give it a 4 stars but I'm pretty sure there are better books out there that deserves that 4. Still loved this book tho!! <3

Thankfully this was a freebie. It's written in very basic language with a predictable plot. It may work for someone who needs a read without any concentration, but it's really very simple. As I've said before - life's too short for bad books!!

This is my first read by Lily Zante and I will read more of her books. I really enjoyed this book as it was interesting, exciting and about Italy which is one place I’ve visited and love.

The story is about some women, Ava, who’s wedding is canceled because he decides he doesn’t think he loves her. So she cancels everything except the honeymoon and decides to go on her own to Italy. When she arrives, the person she thinks is the driver but really the son of the owner of the hotel she’s to stay at

Wedding cancelled 6 weeks before it was suppose to happen.

Ava had cancelled everything, but the honeymoon itself. She decided to go to Italy by herself. She needed the break and with her online business she could work from anywhere. Besides maybe she could find some children's things to add to her business.

And then she meets Nico and the adventure begins.

Read and enjoy.

Chopped off ending

Nothing makes as mad as I am reading this as a chopped off ending. All it does is tell me not to put time or money into this author again. Yet another author on my don't bother list.

Cute romantic book. Poor Ava is home, not feeling well, alone on New Years Eve. Her fiancé dumped her 6 weeks before valentines instead of falling apart, she pulls herself together. She is ends up meeting someone makes you feel better knowing all this. Well written

What a cute story! Fall in love all over again with this wonderful story from Lily Zante. Already feeling like death warmed over, struggling with a flu and high fever, Ava wakes up on the couch as the New Year countdown is in progress on the television, alone and wondering where her fiance is. When she finally manages to call him, after wishing him a happy new year, he blurts out that he can't go through with it. When asked with what? he replies the wedding. The wedding that is supposed to ...more

I liked this book. It's really a shame the sequels are not currently available. My only complaint, and why I can only give this 4 stars, is that the main premise is one that has been overused in Romance & Chick Lit lately. Nico is yet ANOTHER millionaire businessman who keeps his identity a secret from Ava, a vounerable woman who's in Italy on her solo honeymoon after her jerky fiancee dumps her 6 weeks before their wedding...on New Year's Eve...when she is sick alone in her dumpy apartment ...more

This book is about a woman who, despite being stood up, decides to go alone on her honeymoon anyway. But she isn't alone, as some guy who works for the hotel she stays at decides to take her to local places. He really acts quite stalker-ish and she doesn't get to enjoy her time away.

In terms of romance, despite the protagonist's initial attraction to him, nothing really actually happens. She doesnt get to enjoy her honeymoon. There isnt any romance really until right at the end...and then it fin

I started the book just because the name appealed me and because I was getting bored.
The book is about Ava who was dumped by her would be husband 6 weeks before their wedding. How she handles everything with the help of her mother and sister. Then how she sets up for her honeymoon alone to Italy is what the plot is. Her travel experience consists of a Suave guy who makes her go weak in knees every time he looks at her.
Their meeting and some confusion then almost losing each other and getting b

Ava Ramirez has been dumped by her fiancé weeks before the wedding date. So it was quite bold that she decided to go on her honeymoon anyways. Well, who wouldn’t? A trip to Italy? I’m SO there!

But it’s true though: You don’t need a man to validate you.

Ah, vacation in Italy. Yay!

Unfortunately, her vacation doesn’t start off so well: horrible flight, lost luggage, and a rude driver from the hotel. But Nico is not quite the hotel’s driver. In fact, he’s the hotel owner’s son. Good-looking and ric

Stilted writing. Surface characters.

I could tell by some of the writing, that the author wasn't from the United States. The characters in the book were supposed to be from the US. This made for stilted writing with non-American expressions. "Uniquely special"? What does that mean? And there was a section where the main character was getting in a car and what seat she got in was explained to the point that it was under explained and over explained at the same time. (Passenger's seat in front or b

Rona’s husband, Carlos, looked after her well, and she was busy enjoying life as a new mother to six-month-old Tori. It was Ava that she was more concerned about. This wedding was taking its toll on her daughter; she could see that. Her daughter was busy enough as it was, what with her copywriting assignments and her online store, and now the wedding preparations had taken over. Each day she hoped the final arrangements for the wedding would be drawing near, but each time her perfectionist daughter would go the extra mile doing everything to make the big day extra special.
