(This review applies to the whole manga series, rather than the first volume.)

Don't be fooled by the cute, light-adventure facade the first volume of this series projects. There is plot coming, and it will hit like a truck.

Many readers find it hard to connect with Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE at first look, because the actual story starts out a bit slower than the dramatic teaser at the opening of the first chapter. It feels a bit like a bait-and-switch; for the first half-dozen volumes or so, T

You want to have your brain fried? then I suggest you read Tsubasa.

CLAMP is super clever in taking the two main protagonist from their other work: Cardcaptor Sakura, a favourite of mine. So, duh, I was pretty much sucked in like *that*. But, I didn't read Tsubasa straight after it was released in Thailand, I was too busy obsessing over something else at that time but one of my friends was hooked on it (but never got to the end because it became too much of a mindfuck for her)

But hey, a few yea

This is a fantasy quest journey and most of all a love story. Childhood friends, Princess Sakura and Syaoran, the son of a famous archeologist, meet up again after seven years apart. The royal family offered Syaoran a place in their home after his father died, but he felt that, as a commoner, he couldn’t. Now Syaoran has established a name for himself in the archeological field and returns to the land of Sakura’s kingdom. When Sakura visits the archeological dig she touches the Tsubasa (the wing ...more

This review is for volumes 1-7.

YA fantasy manga. This is a companion/crossover series with xxxHolic. Syaoran and Sakura have been the closest of friends since they were children. Now Sakura has been attacked, and her memories scattered as feathers across the multi-verse. Without her memories, she'll die. Syaoran goes to Yuuko, the Dimension Witch, for a way to save her, and is given a creature who will act as a guide through the dimensions: but Yuuko grants wishes only for a price that matches t

[Series Length: 19 volumes / Read: volumes 1-6]

World-renowned mangaka circle CLAMP has basically phoned it in with "Tsubasa". Basically just a lame excuse to re-visit old characters from previous CLAMP titles in new settings, the story revolves around an alternate version of Syaoran (originally of "Card Captor Sakura" fame) going dimension-hopping with a magician and warrior from one random world to the next, all to recover the memories of Sakura (also an alternate version, of course). Along the

Recommends it for: manga lovers, fans of CLAMPs works

Sometimes authors/creators will take the characters they use in one story and then place them in a totally diff. one with a alternate universe storyline going on. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Tsubasa is one that works. Very well.

With a pretty original plot driving the series and familiar characters being developed in an alternate but convincing way, the CLAMP writers have made a manga I immediately loved.

Can't really explain why but it hit all the right parts for me: interesting

I would rate and review this book for all of the volumes--all 28 of them.

At first, what intrigued me was the fact that Sakura and Syaoran from CCS were back in somehow different adventure. But when I was read it, I was totally wrong.

This story told about the whole new adventure that have no--or just slight--connection from CCS. In this story CLAMP managed to gathered all of the character they've been made and put them into different role--parallel universe, they say, so the soul is the same yet

I'd been putting off picking this series up for a while, what with it being a kind of cross-over with a number of CLAMP's other series, and in general I'm opposed to cross-overs because to some level I find there to be a certain laziness about them. But, I picked this up, and while reading was happy to discover that these aren't simple carbon copies of the character's alternative selves. Instead, CLAMP took the basic idea of each character from the original source and made them into unique chara ...more

Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE by CLAMP is a companion series to xxxHolic. As I'm reading xxxHolic I feel obligated to try Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE.

Volume 1 sets up the story. Syaoran and Sakura (who are alternates from the ones in Card Captor Sakura) have grown up together. Syaoran is an archeologist's son and Sakura is a princess, the younger sister of the king. A freak accident at the archeological dig results in Sakura losing her memories and having them scattered across the dimensions. Th

One of my favorite manga series to date. It spans 28 volumes, and is one of the most mindbending, brain torturing series ever. Just when you think you know what's happening, CLAMP reveals another piece of the puzzle. The series finished serializing a year ago, and this week I reread the whole thing. Even now, I'm still trying to put the pieces together. Definitely recommended!

TRC takes the characters from CardCaptor Sakura and pulls them through multiple worlds, searching for the scattered fragm

I'm rereading this series, because I never finished it and when I went to the bookstore the other day, I saw it was complete. I got about halfway through and then got so busy with school that I lost track. Which is a shame because this series is amazing and Syaoran is my favorite character ever.

If you've ever read any of CLAMP's other manga (which you should), you have to read this one, too. It's a great story, plus it's intertwined with so many other series. I'm excited to reread and find out

Pernah baca atau nonton Cardcaptor Sakura? X/1999? xxxHolic? Read Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE and you will scream at every single character that comes from another world (how nostalgic). Belum pernah baca satupun karya CLAMP? No worries. You will love this manga anyway, and eventually love CLAMP themselves.

Hal pertama yang menarik perhatianku adalah [art]. It's absolutely beautiful, from the start to the end.

Pues ¡Vaya sorpresa que me he dado!
Lo que me ha hecho cambiar de opinión es la aparición de cierto personaje que jamás imagine encontra

Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...

1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.

2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.

3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.

(NOTE: This is a review for the whole manga.)

It's an alternate universe for our beloved Sakura and Syaoran from the Card Captor Sakura. Sakura is the princess of Clow and she has a mysterious power that can change the world. Syaoran is Sakura's childhood friend and he likes all things related to history and archaeology. He is also the leader of the excavation of the ruins in the desert that also took his father's life. When Sakura is about to him of her feelings in the ruins, they came up

Well, just finished all 28 volumes of it and was instantly floored. All I have to say is "whoa". Don't be fooled by the light-hearted beginning and the fun adventures. There are some real twists waiting for you.

Sometimes the fight scenes were a bit hard to make out, but I always understood the general flow. The artwork was very very very detailed (CLAMP is always that way)and beautiful.

Man, the plot. Can't get over it. I loved the witch though, Yuko. The ending was fitting, with all ends tied

I am one of those people that just love crazy, what just happened, mind boggling stories and this one is one of my favorites... not just for mangas but of all books.
The characters are just amazing and their stories are so much fun. The story is truly just crazy. I dont think there is really any other word. You start out going "this is cool and interesting". Then there is this turn and spend the rest of time going "I can't believe that just happen!!!" And the tie-ins to XXXHolic are unique.

I've only watched the anime and read two volumes of the manga so far and I've literally cried my eyes out. Mainly because I'm so scared of what is going to happen in the end and because of the feels.

But this story in genral is very beautiful and very sad. Don't be fooled and judge the book by its cover, because there are some deep poo in this story. Just sayin'
This isn't a pretty, sparkling story. When the time comes, you will be hit by a train. Trust me!

I love this story though, it's amazing!

Tsubasa is just wonderful. It's a cleverly written manga with likable characters and a fun journey for readers to travel. This manga is one of CLAMP's finest work yet. This is a manga where you need to read most (if not all) of CLAMP's previous works in order to get some of the references placed in this manga.

As a whole, this series is fantastic. As a first volume, it is just wonderful and endearing. Syaoran and Sakura are the main characters (from Cardcaptor Sakura) and they live in this fanta

So I remember back in 2002 when the first image for TSUBASA surfaced. It was a smaller version of this cover and you never saw such fervor. This is back when scanlation was still not a thing per say. I belonged to a yahoo group called "RosettaStone" (since they had chapter by chapter relays for Fruits Basket and always had ShoujoMagic's newest releases) and every time a new tidbit came out it was epic.

Was this Cardcaptor Sakura's characters? What was the thing with the clothes? They're older!

For all CLAMP fans, this manga is a treat. Really, it's a sweet treat that brings back many CLAMP memories, kind of like watching the CLAMP in Wornderland videos on Youtube. Fans of Cardcaptor Sakura and XXXHolic are surly going to enjoy this. But don't fret those who've never read either or are new to CLAMP, it is totally fine to read Tsubasa without knowledge of any CLAMP works because that's how they roll :)

(This is a review of the full series, so all 28 volumes and not just the first one. And yes, the review will contain slight spoilers.)

I remember picking up the first volume in the store, after it had just been released. I loved Sakura and Syaoran from Cardcaptor Sakura and was excited to get a new story with them. I loved all the supporting characters, and I love them still. The first half of the story was funny, nice but already a little dark. After the halfway mark the story definitely takes a

I didn't really expect to love it that much at all and I still don't know why.
Let me say first that I started XXXHolIC before this and I had no intention to read Tsubasa due the length of the series and also that it will take alot of time to collect all 28 volumes since I buy my manga volumes and I don't read them online.
I found XXXHolIC an enjoyable manga but NOTHING outstanding and I got only the first three volumes and only read the first three, until my friend (a hater of XXXHolIC) decided
