Yes, I'm one of those shameless authors who gives every single one of my own books five stars. But I see nothing wrong with a little bit of self love. ;)

WOW! This book was crazy good. I've never read anything like it and you know what? I LOVED IT!! I was hooked right away. This story line was totally unique and was filled with twists and turns. D.T. Dyllin is a mastermind to come up with a story line like this, where these ideas came from,

First I have to say this book was AMAZING! Just simply Amazing! You want to talk about a mind F&^% this is the book for you because lord as I was reading it I kept thinking S&^% is that real or is that fake? Did that just really happen or is that all in her head? This book had me on the edge of my chair thinking the entire time holy S&^% this is not real it is all made up in her head and then something would happen and I would realize that no it did indeed happen.

I have never read anything quite like this masterpiece. Sam is an empath that works for the government by feeling peoples last emotions before their death. She starts having explicit dreams of a fantasy man that feel so real. But are they really fantasy? This story will leave you breathless. I'm so bummed that it had to end but I'm excited about the rest of the trilogy. D.T. Dyllin is a writing Goddess and she is now one of my top 3 authors. I really hope that this book stays exactly how the bet ...more

Who am I, where am I, and WTF happened? Dark, gritty, and sexually charged, Feeling Death is an engaging read with a very unique concept.

From the first sentence, I was intrigued… and confused… and based on the author’s style, pretty sure I was going to be entertained. I was not disappointed. The plot has so many twists, turns, flashbacks, flash-forwards, and cartwheels, I was reeling a bit, but hopelessly hooked on the story. The author take

Wow! I did not know what to expect .... the first few pages had me going WTF like is she serious!? I found myself very confused and talk about a mind-fuck!! If anybody saw my face while reading this it was probably all twisted up! The first half was confusing but I couldn't put it down then I started understanding a bit more and going ohhh I think I know what's happening... I think!..... by the second half it was all coming together and I started understanding the characters more. Because the fi ...more

First sentence...

"I'm having an affair," I blurted out, causing Dr. Gray to sit forward in her seat.

My thoughts...

Sam is an empath who uses her special skills to help find the bad guys at a crime scene. She's happily married with her husband Nixon who just so happens to be a void. When he is around, she doesn't have to fit so hard blocking out everything around her. However, little by little these fantasies of another man keep popping in her head. There's no harm in a little fantasy but pretty s

Feeling Death follows a woman named Sam who has a special ability. She is an empath. Her empath abilities make her very important in finding some very dangerous killers. Aside from trying to catch a serial killer, Sam is experiencing some scary and interesting things in her life. She is married to a man named Nixon, but can't get the thoughts of a man named Austin out of her head. She ha

A paranormal romance nicely weird, wacky and surprising.

A somewhat complex paranormal story that begins as a police investigation. Very quickly, the reader learn that Sam is a kind of profiler with the ability to read people's emotions including the ones of victims before they die.
In parallel to her job, in her love life, she is haunted by a man whom she fantasizes about. The problem is ...

I didn't know what to expect from this book, but what I got was a sexy, suspense-filled, kick ass novel that I simply couldn't put down, reminding me why I love paranormal romance so much! It's going to be hard to review this book without totally spoiling it, but I'll try my best.

At first, I didn't know what to make of it. Sam is having an affair, a pretty serious one, with a man in her dreams, which is weird enough on its own. But we weren't kept in

*note* I received this book as a beta from the author. I do not know this author personally, nor did I receive anything in return for my review. These opinions are all mine.

Okay first lets talk about the sex scenes! Yes, this is purely for adults! Author D.T. Dyllin writes these erotic scenes that leave you grabbing for your spouse! Detailed very tastefully and written very naughty. How she managed to get those two together is a mystery! Guess it attributes to her fantastic writing skills!

I received this book from Edelweiss to give an honest review. *May contain spoilers*

Before I even start this review let me say this. This book is for adults as there are a lot of sex scenes within the book.
But with the sex, there is also the paranormal. Sam is an empath and there are others out there like her. She learning about her powers while at the same time having fantasies of having sex with another man. While having these fantasies she also is having visions of women being murdered.

I need to be really clear with you all here… I loved D.T Dyllins The PJ Stone Gates Trilogy (I was lucky enough to Beta read the series for her) so when she asked if I would like to read Feeling Death I think I died and went to fangirl heaven. Then I started thinking well what if I don’t like it. Well thankfully I didn’t have to worry because Dyllin has done it again! I have to say that I really did not enjoy this book. I found the storyline to be incredibly thin, weak and superficial.

Now, I will tell the reader of this review that the majority of high rating reviews come from erotic book reviewers. While I do not specialize in this genre of book reviewers, I do review in the majority of genres.

I would say, if this is a genre that you read frequently in that you will more than likely enjoy this read. If you don't, you might have a difficult time with it as

Maybe my 3 star rating is a bit harsh. Perhaps it should be a 4 because I don't like this 1/2 a star bullshit. It's either 1,2,3,4 or 5.

What I liked:

The plot was interesting to a certain degree. The sex was hot. Probably my favorite part. The writing wasn't half bad.

What had me questioning a 4 star review:
Boring at times. Confusing at times. Annoying characters, at times. See, I'm really on the shelf on this book.

This book has left me truly speechless and I am really not sure how I am ever going to write a review that it deserves. After just completing Feeling Death, I am feeling rather confused with the whole storyline however in the same moment it all seems to make complete sense.

Sam's life throughout the book is a confusing one, at had me at many times questioning what the hell was happening and whether it was real or not, but at the same time this kept me picking the book up as I needed to know what

Feeling Death is completely NOT what I expected … and I mean that in a GOOD way. It completely blew me away. Although I have to admit that I some difficulties following the story at first, but once I got past that, the story is just FUCKING AWESOME!!!

This started out slow and confusing, but drew me in with the sheer intrigue and sexiness of the storyline. When we first meet Samantha, she's under the impression that her husband Nixon is just not doing it for her and she's having an imaginary (HOT!) affair with a man named Austin. Austin, who just so happens to be incredibly sexy and does things to her body that she is quickly becoming addicted to. And there's the little fact that she's an empath working for the government

“The one who dies has it easy, you know. The one who’s left behind is the one who truly suffers.”

I personally chose the book for the feeling given to me by its cover (suitable to subject) and for its title. If I would have not liked it, I would not write the review. That would have been easy. Now it’s more difficult for me to tell you my opinion without revealing anything. Secrecy is important because Feeling Death is that kind of book that is based on a game of lights and shadows. Samantha has been dreaming with a smoking hot man who is not her husband. What happen when the man of your dreams is not the one you are supposed to love? What would you do when dreams seem more than mere fantasies? What if somehow you suspect that some of your memories were altered?

Feeling Death is a fantastic paranormal book with a hot romance and extraordinary characters. It’s a story that will surprise you with every new twist and every new revelation. Just when you think you figure it out,

Dark, gritty, and mind-trippy, Feeling Death seduces the reader into the mind and mixed emotional state of an empath struggling with her own feelings because the world she knows is built on lies and death.

While the summary covers some of the plot, it only captures half of the story, which I'm sorry to say I can't tell you because I don't want to give it away. Even though I had inkling on what was happening, I still fluctuated between certainty and doubt. The author di

Even though this book is a complete mindfuck, it's still great and I expected no less from this amazing author. She is so talented and she is one of the few writers that can make a book like this come out great. It has everything I wanted. The s

Now I know what you’re thinking, “Juewelz, this series isn’t finished. Why did you read it?” I know.. I know BUT I am trying to step my paranormal game up and when I saw that this book was going on tour and it was labeled as an erotic paranormal I had to sign up! Thank You book masters that this book did NOT have a cliffhanger! The story will continue but I don’t feel like there were any major loose ends.

Ok this book starts off with a bang! I’m like WOAH Hello, good afternoon kinda steamy. LOL I

This book is trippy. I'm not happy with the label of "erotic" paranormal romance because erotic usually means erotica, and books in that genre are fairly focused on sex. This isn't about sex. This was a total mind screw, a psychological thriller, with romance and yes, sex, in it, but so much more! I should warn you: if you're going into this book expecting the typical-of-most-erotica sexy but easy, cheesy conversations and then nothing but sex scenes, this is not the book for you.

The character flaws made FEELING DEATH an interesting read. I enjoyed the world Dyllin created, to me it felt more sci-fi/fantasy than paranormal with all these characters having superhuman brain powers. There is a constant feeling of danger and the urgency of catching the serial killer is intense. And though I obviously have issues with the romance, I must say I appreciate all the gray areas Dyllin made. I love stories that not only elicit strong emotions and reactions

FYI, I was a development editor on this book.

First, there is nothing more refreshing to read a manuscript that you have to work on, and freaking love it. Enjoying the novel, just makes the whole process easier to complete.

It's hard to say what this book is about without giving away too many spoilers, but this book is Dark, Edgy, Sexy, and liable to cause mind-mush.

I say that because you're taking on this really sick psychotic journey where the narrator may or may not be reliable. . .or let me c
