COME UNDONE is the first book in a trilogy. The trilogy features Olivia and the choices she makes concerning her personal and professional life .

As a happily married woman of three years she is living the yuppie lifestyle. Her husband, Bill, is a busy man who doesn't always know what his wife is up to with her work and social life.

David is an eligible bachelor who is very intrigued with Olivia. The attraction she feels towards him leaves her confused and contemplating the perfect life she has...more

A brilliant, heart stopping start, to what promises to be a new amazing series. I LOVED IT!!

What a brilliant debut novel by Jessica Hawkins - most definitely an author to watch. I was massively impressed with this.

Olivia/Liv Germaine is happily married and devoted to her long term partner and husband, Bill. Bill is safe, solid and worships her. But one night whilst at the theater, her eyes meet with those of the gorgeous David. A stranger with whom she feels an immediate spark and overwhelming c...more

I really like this book.It is a little slow to start, but it captivates you until the end that you don't notice it is already the end of the book(Am so glad I already have the next one or I might have thrown my kindle away because it ends in a cliffhanger!).I wasn't really sure that I will like this book about a married woman having an affair but unfortunately this happens in real life. Olivia and David have strong connection from the...more

Two reasons this book sucked......

1. If the author wanted us to hate the h, she did a really good job. Liv was a bitch with the way she treated her husband. I kept waiting for the moment her and David got caught, but it doesn't happen.

2. For me, when reading a story involving cheating, I'm willing to understand and accept it if there's a good reason for it. Something that makes you say "I don't like what's happening here, but I understand why it's happening". In this situation, Liv simply isn't...more

I'm usually the horror reading gal, romance and hot stuff isn't my usual fare but once in a while I will fall prey to a good cover and I do enjoy other genres, a lot. Somehow Come Undone looked spicy enough so I took the plunge and requested this off NetGalley and then I attempted to read it. Yes attempted.... I absolutely hated the beginning, from the awkward syntax to the strange dialogue that never told me who was really talking I was cursing the way this was written but to my dislike there w...more

WOW!! Where do I even begin??

I stumbled upon Jessica Hawkins doing a Goodreads search in Listopia for something similar to Emily Giffin's "Something Borrowed" (but maybe a little bit more revealing, if you know what I mean), and the summary intrigued me. I thought it'd be a sexy, fluffy story that would probably hold my interest well enough to leave me satisfied for a while, but never did I expe...more

The book had a slow start, but at about 60%, I could not stop reading!! I am so glad I did not give up on this one. We had a family christening and then a recital and I was trying to find every excuse to go back to the car and hide so I could read finish this book.

The sexual tension, the steam…it was awesome!! I love stories that leave me wanted the sequel ASAP.

There were SO many hard decisions for Liv. A lot of thoughts came to my head when I read this. Bill was a faithful and loyal...more

Unfortunately this book is a bit of a slow starter. Olivia Germaine is a content married women, to Bill Wilson. She has, loyal friends and career, that she has worked hard for. Bill is pushing for a white picket fence life, ready to have children and basically just be happy. Olivia, however is not ready for that. She is content with the current lifestyle that they lead. A brief chance encounter with David Dylan brings a change in Olivia, an a...more

Oh my word. How to review this book with no spoilers? We all know how I hate spoilers.

Hot.
Hot.
Hot.

There didn’t even have to be a love scene for this book to be hot. Don’t fret. There was some steamy moments. (Not a YA book)

Is it bad I was hoping her husband would do something that would open the way for her to be able to be with David?

Probably.

There’s this line here that I’m nervous about crossing with my review. It’s that most marriages don’t stay hot like they are in the beginning. They set...more

3.5 stars... This book started out really slow for me. I stuck with it and it actually got pretty good. Love triangles are not my favorite type of book but for some reason this one worked for me. Since it ended on a cliffhanger I immediately moved on to book two. I am reading it now. I hear it is better but I am not sure if I agree yet. I do like David more than I like Bill so I am cheering him on all the way. Hopefully this will end with the hea I am hoping for.

Jessica Hawkins is an amazing author. And I believe that the Cityscape Series was better for me than 50 Shades. In all honesty, the characters felt more real and they dealt with grown up issues, concerns, and feelings.

Since reading the very first page, I have been unable to get Olivia out of my head. I feel like she's a good friend, and I traveled through her ups and downs, happiness and troubles right along with her. Me, Gretchen, Lucy, and Liv are BFFs now, and I am better for it.

Holy wow.

Emotional and angsty with a drop dead gorgeous, swoony male.

And first off, it does involve cheating so if that is a limit for you, back away now.

This was such an unexpected book. I picked it up when I was inbetween books just for something to read but then I could not put it down. And this is totally me just not doing any research, but I thought this was one of those novella length trilogies. So glad it wasn’t! Especially for a debut book from Jessica Hawkins, this one was f...more

Mind. Overload. (In a good way!!)

Soooo.... There are no spoilers or secrets because the short blurb of the book clearly outlines the story. If you are opposed to cheaters, turn away now. I do not condone cheating but I sure as hell do not mind reading about it! (It makes for good, juicy, steamy drama!)

In all honesty, I loved the cityscape books more than 50 shades. Say what?!?! Don't get me wrong, I loved Christian. But this story is more relatable, felt more real, and isn't about hardcore sex and a red room. Or a guy that was 50 shades of fucked up. It was emotional, lots of angst, swoon worthy, and a hot read. Each book in the series just kept getting better and better. I read the whole series in just a couple of days, it consumed me. That's when you know you've read a good book. I'm lookin...more

I'm kind of mad at myself for not starting this series previously!!! It was so good. It was so close to being a 5 star but that ending about killed and my kindle almost met the wall. I seriously read this in a 24 hour period. I was up until 3 am finishing it. The book had it all a love story, love triangle, cheating, HOT dirty male, confused female, and a little bit of action and suspense. The reader will go through a range if emotions t...more

You lock eyes with an attractive stranger across the room.
He's so captivating, you forget you're in a crowded room.
You're mesmerized, you forget your name.
You are off balance from just that one look.
You suddenly remember how it feels to be single - the anticipation and possibility of new things.
If given the chance would you go for it?
Would you risk what you have to know him?
Do you take the chance on something new and exciting?
If you don't, can you live with the what-if or what could have

I'm going to preface by saying that I have no problems with cheating in my romances. It happens in real life. Not everyone is happy in their relationship. No excuse to cheat but I'm not going to NOT read a book because the plot involves cheating. With that being said, I did not enjoy this book. Not because the heroine, Olivia, cheats on her husband. I did not enjoy it because I didn't like the characters, the execution and the overall writing. Another story told in 1st person POV where I wanted...more

After reading the blurb, I knew the subject matter involved cheating. Although cheating isn't a book hard limit for me, I was still a bit hesitant starting out. The story hooked me in from the very beginning and there were many moments where I was anxious to get back to it, when real life interrupted.

I found the situation that Olivia found herself in to be very true to life, and I often wondered how I would have handled myself. I was never completely removed from the main subject at hand, as I...more

Wow!! Holy!! What the hell did I just read? An amazing, amazing book is what I read. FANTASTIC! One of the best 5 star reads I've ever had the pleasure of reading.

I've had this book on my kindle for some time and I'm so mad at myself that it's taken me so long to open it up, but I'm thrilled beyond words that I did. I highly recommended this book. This is the first book in a three part series and all these books are out, so start it now. :)

This is for me the best romance series I've read. It has a great story, that doesn't rely on action to keep our attention. It's all about two normal people who fall in love. And it's well written.

Most series, even the ones that start really strong, lose something mid way through book two for me normally. This keeps your attention the whole way through, right through to the very last chapter. I LOVED it. I won't post any spoilers because you should just read it and you will LOVE it as much as I d...more

Something else for sure!!!
I will say I am a sucker for the forbidden love story. This series is a lot like one I really loved but a much more adult version. What I loved was how the author painted Bill. He was a lawyer and I get when you work so hard and are thinking "partner" in your sleep, going to work, walking, and in every second of the day! Aside from that he was so regimented, cheap and well I just f**king hated him from page 3. I guess that shows how good the author is. If you start to r...more

Come Undone began with a lot of background. You get a glimpse into Olivia and Bill's "safe and secure" marriage and while they appear happy, you can tell almost immediately that they love each other but are not in love with each other. Olivia has a few flaws and insecurities that prevent her from moving on to the next step in their future together (house in the suburbs, a family) that her husband, Bill is ready for. During a night out with friends, she locks eyes with a stranger who she is immed...more

Come Undone is a complex engrossing book. It is a little slow to start, but it picks up and captivates you until the end. Olivia is a wonderfully flawed character who has hidden depth and strengths that we only begin to get a small glimpse of in this book, and I want more. David is a charismatic bad boy that always seems to always get what he wants. He sees into the secret places in Olivia that she wants to keep hidden. These two have explosive chemistry. I received this ARC book from NetGalley for my honest review.

Come Undone was an amazing story. We seem to get so many college or just out of college stories with New Adult, so for this book to take a spin with an already married woman was so different from the norm, but it worked! Liv is in a relationship that’s safe, with a husband that really doesn’t get her, nor is he trying to. My gut also tells me he has secrets we don't know about yet, but we'll see in book 2. She’s broken, but hides it al...more
