This story required a little suspension of disbelief with the blending of some paranormal elements but it was well done & I quite enjoyed it. I did not realize before starting that this was part of a series, which becomes apparent with the interactions of support characters while reading, but it's okay as a stand alone too. Although I would have liked to have read the other two sisters' stories. Overall, it was an enjoyable tale with a little romance, a little intrigue, a little danger, and ...more

Shelves: romance
Cara Summers' Blaze novel blends a bit of the supernatural with a suspenseful romance. Not having read prior titles that have brought the brothers of hero Reid Sutherland together with their lady loves left me without what is clearly a throughline that I would have enjoyed (no fault of Ms. Summers, or course!). A number of varied and interesting secondary characters enhanced the book and moments of high tension as well as romance made for a solid read.

A good tale. It dragged a little in places, but had a rollicking storyline and a good plot, if mostly predictable.
