I had mixed emotions writing this final installment to The Velesi Trilogy, a very bittersweet journey. Although Tharin and Lily's story ends here, there are so many more from Velesi. Some of the characters will start their own journey and tell their own stories. There will be new characters from the Sidhe realm who will emerge and create their own adventures. And we may even find Tharin and Lily honoring us with a cameo. They will always be the closest to my heart. After all, it was their story ...more

That was my reaction when I read an email from L.Fillon saying that I was going to get a gift of The Whispering. I mean let's face it you would have that reaction too if you spent months waiting for this book especially after the ending of the last book. Okay that little note aside THE WHISPERING WAS AMAZING!!!!!!
I wanted to laugh, cry, hit someone, hug someone, strangle someone and then feed them to coyotes, throw the book across the room and then run

I almost died (of great joy) when the author emailed me an advanced copy of "The Whispering." I dropped EVERYTHING on the to-do list and slipped into the Velesi Realm to drool over Tharin(and Lily)'s journey. Needless to say that as a result, I earned the worst-mother/wife-of-the-year title, all in one day!

"The Whispering" picks up where "The Drifting" left us hanging- with Lily gone and Tharin pissed! Lily is back in Pathen trying to locate Julia and Marilyn. Alorn finds and journeys with her a

I really liked the story, and I’d like to give it a 4.2 or 4.3 rating like the other reviewers. Unfortunately, once again, the tremendous number of errors brought the rating down to around a 3.5.

The Whispering begins with Lily trying to find Julia, who has the key to Eirrel, in Australia. The group is soon reunited and together, they work together to return to Velesi and fulfill the prophecy. Their trip is not an easy one. Lily and Julia are at odds with Tharin and Tolan. Harlu and the Ang

I was able to give this three stars for a few reasons:
1) "I don't want to die a virgin."
2) Tharin 'cause he's perfect.
3) Cessa. Pretty self-explanatory
4) Tolan because wow I love him too.

But... I guess this series overall was a letdown. I loved the first book A LOT, but I never suspected that I would grow to dislike Lily so much. She had her moments, but book two started my rapidly growing dislike for her character and she never quite recovered in book 3. She was too w

Imagine my confusion after getting the email that this new book had been released and then finally finishing it to realise that I had not read the second one. In my defence, it has been awhile since I read "The Binding" and as I read so many books these days I just assumed I had read "The Drifting" but I could still follow the story though I was a bit confused in places as I thought I had forgotten some things. Now I will just have to go back and read it because I want to fill in the gaps lol. ...more

Very nice ending to this trilogy! Two thumbs up! However, I would have liked for Lily to have gotten more out of her union to Tharin, and a formal proposal before the actual ceremony, not afterwards, lol. Everything was wrapped very nicely, though I was still a bit confused at who was actually Lily & Harlu's bio dad. Loved that Cessa got a little present at the end. Some scenes def made me teary and others super mad, but I enjoyed every second of it! There were some minor grammatical errors ...more
3.5 stars; I rounded up. The ending was cute for the most part, but I felt bad for Alorn... The dude loved her...and she didn't even know it... I really liked Alorn! And Mellis, or course. But the twins had their happy ending and all. Overall, it was an okay series. Got better as it went.

I loved this last book to the series! I wish there was a recap of the previous two books though. Couldn't remember too much since I read them far apart. This was a very emotional ride. Tears, smiles, and laughs throughout the book.

This was a good end to the Velesi trilogy. However, I think some things could have been improved upon, and some things confused me.

This book did a good job of catching me back up with the story. It has been quite a while since I read the Drifting, but this book caught me back to what was going on fairly quickly. That being said, some of the names were still really confusing to me. So many people had close names, that I felt like I needed to keep a list going just to keep them all straight. I got

This drove me up the wall and made me so happy, and it's sad that it's done, but the ending was so good that it's more bittersweet for me.

Just like its other books, so much happens. You get a whole bunch of action and misunderstandings and drama. I loved the supporting characters, every single one of them. Lily and Tharin... what can I say. They're strong personalities who make it work. This time it was Tharin's side I was on when Lily just didn't get the hint(view spoiler)

Damn! I love this series. I'm drawn to the characters, the story, the setting and yes, there were some parts that were confusing or could have been done better, but I still love the trilogy and found the 3rd book to be just as good as the first 2.

Lilly comes to her own in this book, discovers her inner strength and becomes adept at using the powers bestowed on her. Her relationship with Tharin has stabilized but there is still some misunderstandings that could have been avoided. I attribute it t

Great finale to the Velesi Trilogy!! All the loose ends were wrapped up, almost everyone got their HEA, and the land has been saved. There is love discovered, there are betrayals, new characters (loved Minuk the troll), and the loss of a few friends. I love the set up at the end to carry on with stories involving some of the other characters from the book; it left me excited for more.

If it's been a while since you read the last book in the series, you will want to go back and re-read it first.

This book was given to me as a gift from the author.
Thank you L! For giving me this amazing book!!

The cover is lovely and it reminds me of jungle. Lol!

This book started where The drifting (book 2) had left off with a cliff hanger. It is really action packed, never a dull moment (I hate books when nothing goes on) and here it was like every character had something to accomplish… and finally the part I was looking forward to Lily-and-Tharin-together!!
That too on speaking and flirting terms!! Yippe

I really loved this series. I feel so bonded to all the characters. I think my favorite is Alorn. I have a feeling we will get to read more about him. He is so loyal and steadfast, and I just want him to have a story that is all his own. *small spoiler*I remember a post from the author about someone dying(how she cries when writing the death of her characters) and I was afraid that it was going to be him.
I cannot express how much I liked this story, not only was it a good story but it just match

While I've never been a fan of "elves" (Not even Orlando Bloom in "Lord Of The Rings" did it for me) however the Velesi Trilogy has won me over. I loved the "realness" of Tharin and Tolan along with their cousins, Alorn, Ziri and Mellis. Their diverse personalities and the way they cared for and protected Lily while she made her way to her destined place as Queen of the Velesi realm, was such a wonderful journey! The complexities and stories within stories (i.e.: Julia and her abusive stepfather ...more

As final installment of the Veliesi Trilogy, unanswered questions are finally answered. I finally managed to finish the book, and have to say is wasn't let down at all! Since it had been a while since I read the first two books, I went back to read them again. When a book series has enough capability to keep my attention the second time around, it's a testament to how good the series is. The final book starts off with Lily yet again in danger, but this time she is back a

Well I finish the book and with no joy because it's the last but the book I LOVED!!!!!!! You just love all the characters in this book. The one I loved the most is ALORN <3~ He is my new fake Imaginary boyfriend. I hope L. Filloon makes another series w/ Alorn and I hope we can get a follow up on the others as well.

Well to start things of Lily goes back the Pathen (Earth) in search of Julia. But winds up to be w/ Alorn who went after Lily to make sure she's safe... And also Tharin sent him.

What a wonderful conclusion to Tharin & Lily's story. I laughed, I cryer and was held at the edge of my seat with worry for all my characters.
Logo, hands off to you and ur amazing creativity. I feel like I have walked in Velesi and experienced the emotions of the beautiful characters thanks to ur genious creativity. This has got to be my new very favorite series.
I'm glad that you'll be writting about our supporting characters because I have to admit to a crush on my funny elf Mellis (love hi

What a bittersweet goodbye to all the characters of Velesi and Pathen. I've enjoyed everyone in this series and I'm hoping to see more, I mean the author did leave it so we may see other character's story in the future. I am rating this one as 4/5 because I found that there were too many things going on in the book and it felt like the whole story was rushed. I think it would have helped if there was an extra book in the series. I didn't feel as emotionally attached to this one compared to the ...more

Through out this book I was happy and sad. As I was getting to the end i put the book down and said i don't want this trilogy to be over. One of my favorite series of ALL TIME. Read all books way to much to be normal. I cried at the end, my mom came up to me and said did somebody die in the book, But nope it was just over. i will always love this series and Mellis of course. Maybe i will reread them for a 5th time in a year or 2.

Mellis is my boyfriend. I choose him.
Really the only thing I have left to say is I wish Lily had a better answer for Harlu about why she loved Tharin. She just got mad is all. That's not an answer. She didn't even need to say it, I just wanted her to internally realize it.
The world building was pretty great here and there were intricate little details that were all fulfilled and I loved all the characters, they seemed so real.
I always love it when the conclusion talks about their babies. Yay

*sigh* Why oh why is it over? Once again, I couldn't put the book down. Around 7pm, I remembered that it had finally been published around and stayed up until midnight finishing it. Again, I have no idea what it is about this series that I love so much. I absolutely love all the descriptions of nature and the dryads. Guess I do have a little bit of a Flower Child in me. I enjoyed following Lily and gang back and forth between realms as they struggle to save the realms from complete destruction. ...more

What a terrific ending to a wonderful series. I cannot get enough of the characters or their world. The writing of the places and the different and unique characters make the books come to life. Within the series the characters learn and grow with one another which only serves to make their bond with each other to also grow. The main character Lily has her world completely turned upside down in one night and nothing is what she thought. From this as a reader you not only watch her grow and come ...more

A satisfying end to the trilogy. Lots of action, lots of fulfilling one's potential and one's destiny. Mildly grumbley with the direction that they took a couple of the characters and with the fact that there were a few ideas that were planted in our heads that did not come to fruition, but I'm assuming that those bits were left untouched so that there is a direction for the spin-off series (or multiple spin-off series) to go and further character development to look forward to. Myself, I'm ...more

One of the best Trilogy I have read, no spoilers but I have to say from start to finish, this will have your heart pounding from all the action, emotions and drama. It was hard to put any of the books down (of off kindle version) If you love elves, trolls, fae, dwarfs, kings, princes and so on you will love this sets of books. I hope that there will be more stories even if its about Mellis or better yet Alorn, I was hoping he gets his a woman to bring this prince down to his knee. This is better ...more
