Ryotaro Shiba does himself and the series great justice in the third installment of the epic. The struggle against Port Arthur is one which resonates clearly with the reader, and it is miraculous in which peaceful tones the author manages to describe the poor strategy of the Third Army and Nogi Maresuke. It is even more compelling to see a tone of understanding that surely surpasses the average human -- lastly, this style brings us one step closer to the destination on our the road to Tsushima ...more
