i highly recommend this book. it's a good example of the necessity of constantly forcing oneself to renegotiate ideas taken for granted. the book somehow very briefly gives you an idea of how to trains of thought in medicine, tropical and epidemiological, operated to varying degrees of utility and debility throughout the history of HIV/AIDS. she talks about the worst parts of both schools of thought which continue to be practiced among the medical industry completely uninterrogated. she talks ...more
