3 1/2 stars!

Getting more complicated. I like. Happy reading.
The Window Seat
This is the fourth in a two-novella series and I have read them all in less than a week. If you need a quick Shifter, Alpha, Paranormal fix, these books are perfect!

In this book you have the two stories Sebastian and Aristide. This book continues the overriding story line that was left hanging (they are always left hanging...) at the end of Xavier's story. Here, we have the evil goddess/sorceress/voodoo priestess Shakpi finally in human form and out to start a war for the Pantera. Her first voll

#7 Sebastian by Alexandra Ivy

Attacks outside of the Wildlands are being blamed on Pantera and Sebastian is tapped to work with FBI agent Reny. Reny woke in a hospital 6 years ago with no memory of her previous life. Sebastian immediately recognizes her as his mate. And almost as quickly they are off and running trying to find out who is helping the evil goddess in her plan to start an interspecies war between the Pantera and humans.

This story is super quick and though the other stories were quic

Sebastian/Aristide are books seven and eight in the Bayou Heat series. I like this series. It is well written, the characters are well developed, I like the world that has been created for these puma shifters, it's sexy and filled with very alpha males.

The Pantera live in the Bayous of Louisiana. In a place that holds their magic called the Wildlands. But for the last fifty years their lands and their magics have been dying. Their females have been unable to conceive or carry a child. Until a m

I feel, for me, that this pair was the weakest of the set. also seemed the shortest, took an hour and a half to read both.
still, a good tale, with the hunt for Shapki taking centre stage, and finally the birth of the cub long awaited since book one :-)

I will buy any more that come out, as there is still a lot unfinished.

Sebastian by Alexandra Ivy

Sebastian has been charged with finding who is responsible for recent attacks made to look like Pantera killings before the truth of their existence is revealed to the world. He’ll be partnered with Reny Smith, a FBI agent with a mysterious past, a scent that drives him wild, and a secret that will change her life.

Sebastian is as much of a warrior as he is a Suit and as soon as he lays his eyes on Reny, his alpha-ness kicks into high gear and he claims her befo

"Bayou Heat: Sebastian - Aristide" by Alexandra Ivy and Laura Wright. Books 7 & 8 in this paranormal novella series.

WOW! Loved these two stories! Very fast paced, holding no punches.

The story starts with SEBASTIAN.

Raphael's mate Ashe is about to have her cub, someone is trying to kill her, and now the Pantera have been exposed to the human world. Sebastian as been assigned to work with a human FBI agent as a liaison to the Pantera. But when he meets Reny, she is anything but human. So why is

These boys may be hunters but when it comes to their women they are protectors, and are seriously possessive but at times they can be big kids, "we." His cat purred. "I like the sound of that." Sebastian I loved him and his cat, "a low growl rumbled in his throat. He wanted to bite that soft flesh. Preferably while he was climaxing, deep inside her, filling her with his seed." Astride he's seriously protective of his woman and clan, "Ashe's cub is well and safe," he said gazing down at her, his ...more

Finally got done reading this. Argh all these cliffhangers. I think that's why I'm always frothing at the mouth for these books. I liked Sebastian's story better than Aristide, only because Ari's story was hella short and we didn't get a fight scene with Marco and the rescuing of Noah. It was more romantic and Bastian was just.....MMMMMMM. And yay we finally got the truth about Reny. Where does this leave poor jaded Hiss? Also after 8 stories, we finally got the birth of Raf's sweet little baby ...more

Sebastian and Reny are great together, I like how different possibilities are being explored in the way Pantera are out in the world without knowing what they are and then showing their connections back to the Wildlands.
Aristide and Katherine was a nice story too, less focussed on the sex it gave more time to develop the storyline and allow the overall arc to progress just that bit more. Still very goods reads four books in.

Another great read!

I absolutely LOVE the Bayou Heat series. My only wish is that each story were longer because I can't get enough of them! The characters are so well written I feel personally invested in them.
Robin
This was good for two novellas but still I wish they were longer more filled out in places. I do like the characters and the stories are good....I just wish there was more to them. The plot and the over arcing story is well done.
Denise
Two yummy stories. A great close to the series. Personally Sebastian was all that and a bag of chips for me. I liked Ari and he really connected with Katherine. For me he didn't radiate that suave animal magnetism. Still a very good read. I have really enjoyed this series.

I really do like the Pantera world- the men are wickedly hot and the women aren't pushovers.

The authors manage to write their novellas with a very seamless touch. Yes, you can tell that they're two different authors- mainly because you start seeing the authors different writing styles emerge. However, they've managed to write so that the world they created is cohesive.

My biggest complaint- and I've said it before- I could totally do full-length novels for these characters! Yes, I like the world

This series is full of twists! I love how each story ties into the whole. I'm hoping there is more to this story!

4.5 stars. The .5 is for Sebastian as I enjoyed that book more than Aristide.

These two stories in the Pantera series seemed more unfinished in their brevity than previous ones. They were an easy read, too easy, meaning simplistic. Each story left me wanting to know more about the characters, what was happening to previous characters, and especially for such a critical plot point, to shift the birth of Ashe's baby and the attack of the assassins all happen offstage and with almost no detail left me feeling cheated. Not sure these short novellas are working any longer. The ...more

The chemistry of Sebastian and Reny was off the charts from their first meeting. Reny is so brave and strong. She keeps going and tries to ignore the missing past. Sebastian is very focused on his goals until he meets Reny and she knocks him off balance. Aristide as a Nurturer is very caring. He knows there is more to Katherine then she is letting on. I love the addition of Noah and hope to see more of him in the future. Once again I was attached to this book from the beginning to the end and co ...more

2.5 Stars. Are these books getting even shorter? 2 very short stories, I am glad the second came back around and confirmed that hiss was the brother - I knew that was coming. Though it felt cheap how they made Hiss out to be a traitor after living, working, and befriending them all this time, and he was willing to destroy his whole species for his bitter past. A past hid so well noone even knew about it?!? In this small community?? Please.
Donna
Another grand slam. One of my all time favorite series.

These cliffhangers are killing me. KILLING ME!

Loved these. Great series!

Great series
Patricia
These two ladies work so well together on this Bayou heat series. With the introduction of each new character they all have their own story to tell which over laps and builds into the lives of the Pantera shifters as a whole. A good fights evil concept that has me craving more. I love the background knowledge of how the Pantera came into existence ...the description of the home land and social structure. There is nothing in. These novella's that doesn't call to me. Now it's a waiting game for th ...more

We are once again brought into the wildlands with two short stories that are both romantic and exciting. If was great to see more of the Pantera shifters and the women they find. As always, my only complaint is that the stories are too short...I want more of them...because of the brevity our couples form life-long connections in one day, thus requiring a suspension of believability. Still, I love the series and will continue to read...and recommend...them.

I'm not exactly sure when I fell in love with books. Probably on my mother's knee listening to her read Dr. Seuss to me. I do remember that I was barely old enough to cross the street by myself when I discovered the delights of the local library. Could anything be more wonderful than spending summer days surrounded by stacks of Nancy Drew mysteries? Over the years I fell in love with Victoria Holt ...more
