Ten Years ago love slipped through Chance’s lasso. This time “He was going after her and she didn’t stand a chance, just like a calf in a chute, he was going to rope her with his love and ride back into her life.”
Carrie Stewart is a dedicated horsewoman. She runs a successful breeding and training program. She is a good friend, a good sister and a favorite aunt, but she ha

This is a K.I.S.S novella - Keep It Sweet & Simple. Whether you have an I-phone or e-reader, load it with "Roping Love" for a great feel good read on the bus or waiting for a doc's appointment. Scene setup, the pull of attraction and describing the landscape is extremely well done. My only complaint is that Tamara needs to write a full length novel and give readers some juicy depth, but until she finds the time, we'll have to settle for short and sweet.

Carrie is an independent horse woman who has made a name for herself in the equine world. A family woman, she is a sucker for her nephew, Tyler. The story begins with said arm-twister running into her kitchen and breathlessly announcing he has permission from his parents to go to The All American Quarter Horse Congress with Carrie. His announcement leaves Carrie stunned. She hasn't been to Congress in years. Sick of the politics, back-biting, and constant jockeying for position, she was content ...more

Ten years ago, Chance Ryan broke Carrie Stewart’s heart. Not because he didn’t love her, she’s truly the love of his life, always has been/always will be. But Chance’s life changed in a heartbeat and he didn’t think he had anything to give Carrie that was worthy of her love. So he stops taking her phone calls and never speaks to her again. But for Chance out of sight, out of mind isn’t true. He always knew what was going on

Must be something in the air this week, this is the second Western Romance that I’ve read this week and LOVED it! The best part, I don’t read Western Romances.

In Roping Love by Tamara Hoff, we follow the story of Carrie Stewart, who had her heartbroken by Chance Ryan, ten years earlier. After running into each other at a rodeo, both are going to have to deal with things left unsaid between them. We get to see past history in a series of fastback.

Roping Love is a short story that is perfect for a

My awesome new Western Romance. I hope you all enjoy it.

I've got two words "Yee-Haw!" OK now that I got that out of the way I can get to it. This may have been an extremely short story but that did not take away from it being a fabulous one. We get to learn a little bit about the horse show circuit (with cowboys) as well as follow Chance and Carrie's journey back to each other. I love being able to read a story that I can feel right along with the characters and this one made me tingle.

10 years ago Chance rode out of Carrie's life with no warning. Sh

Tamara did an excellent job at putting together the back drop of this story. I to have a love for horses, bull-riding and cowboys and really love that she chose to use The All American Quarter Horse Congress in Ohio. (My home state!!) Tamara used wonderful detail that showed the event as it really is in true life. It made Roping Love more realistic and easier for a reader to believe and connect with the characters
If was funny getting to read Roping Love because from the start I could see myself walking in Carrie's shoes. It made me remember what it is like to feel that fear, anger, trepidation and the hint of excitement when running into an old flame who's ember you still carry deep down inside.

Getting to experience the life of a circuit through Tamara's eyes is fascinating because she does it unlike any other. She gives you the genuine element and brings you into the scene flawlessly.

Damn I love it when a man admits he's wrong, well I meant he hasn't actually spoken the words but it's in his mind, "damn. He had really effed things up between them. Why hadn't he taken her calls again?" I love a woman who speaks her mind, "oh, please. Spare me the phony come on lines. What, is it a slow night on the circuit and you figured why not tap a sure thing? I don't think so, not interested. Go find some other woman to rope and ride. See you around cowboy." This was too short, I wish it

Roping Love is an adult heart-warming western romance with a sense of erotica.

Cowboy Chance sure did rope and reel Carrie in a decade earlier but can he do it again? She fell for him and gave herself to him, and yet he left her feeling abandoned. Chance didn’t pick up or return Carrie’s calls, making her feel like a used fool. Carrie never completely understood what happened between them and had to carry on with her life by throwing everything she had into her horses. She bred them and trained t

Roping Love was a very short and sweet western romance about reunited lovers and second chances. The story begins with a look at Carrie's life in the present. When she takes her nephew to the All American Quarter Horse Congress, she has an unexpected and unwelcome run-in with her first and only love, Chance. In the beginning we get Carrie's side of the hurt and betrayal she felt after giving her virginity to him, only to find that he had disappeared from her life the next morning. There is a fla

Roping Love by Tamara Hoffa

What a sweet romance! This is what I would call a short story and I seldom find romantic short stories. It was great. It is an adult story. The sex scenes were well done and did not get boring.

As you can guess, the story is about a cowboy and a cowgirl. Carrie has her own horse ranch and has done very well, but ten years ago, Chance broke her heart. She had fallen madly in love with him and thought he felt the same way about her. But the night after they first made lov

Roping Love by Tamara Hoffa is short even for a novella. I think it would be impossible to have a story this short and not feel a bit rushed, but it wasn’t unbelievable. It felt more like someone took a long book and summarized in 38 pages. It was done well, though. I think the high points were highlighted and nothing important was left out.

Carrie Stewart had her heart broken 10 years ago, but she has moved on. As a young girl, she was a rodeo star, but that was a different time and life. She’s
It is always a treat when an author takes a short story format and produces a really good story that grabs one from the start, presents the characters and the problem, offers an intriguing peak point and brings the reader home nicely to the finish. This contemporary western romance tale by Tamara Hoffa does that very thing.

Carrie Stewart has been out of rodeo competition for almost ten years and has used the time to establish a quarter horse breeding farm so she can stay near her beloved horses.
This review was requested by the author. There is no relationship between myself and Tamara Hoffa.

This was a very short and pacey novella (37-ish page) which I enjoyed. It was helped by the fact there was a previous relationship between the two characters as I don’t think there was any chance that I would have believed in this relationship if was a fresh-starter.

I was quite impressed that the author managed to pack the past, present and future of this relationship into 37 pages. We saw how they

A very sweet short story. What's not to love in a story about a hot, caring cowboy and a strong independent woman?

Pour yourself a coffee and go along for the ride!

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for Wicked Reads.

I enjoyed Chase and Carrie's story. They had a wonderful, true love in the past, but life events took them their separate ways. Now, they meet again and maybe they can rekindle that old flame.
Overall, I enjoyed this love story. It was a quick easy ready for me. I would recommend it to any fans of cowboy romance.

This beautifully-written novella had a complex plot and plenty of heat. I loved the details about rodeo, roping and horses. The book has been well researched and that lent authenticity to the story as well as the characters. The story is about two people who fell in love young and got separated by life situations for ten years. I won’t spoil it by revealing any more of the plot. I loved both characters and their love scene was hot and loving at the same time. I highly recommend this great, short ...more

Roping Love is a smooth flowing wonderful tale. I was amazed at the information Tamara was able to pack in in such a short tale. Carrie and Chance were well rounded enjoyable characters. Chance was noble and wanted happiness for Carrie, but luckily Chance's brother wanted what was best for his brother, even if it took years to bring them together.

I had a chance to read this before it was submitted! :) After publication it only got better. If you love western romances, saddle up and grab it!

The title and synopsis caught my attention. I'm the fourth generation in horses. I am always on a prowl for a good horse related love story. However this one caused me to throw my kindle on the desk in frustration. I am a stickler for details, especially when it comes to activities I'm involved with. In the book we are told that Chase only caught one foot when he roped, and had a great time. I am a team roper, a heeler in fact. If I only catch one foot we are not going to get a good time, it res ...more

This is a great short read. It is enjoyable. Recommend it to all who enjoy cowboy romances.

A well written, and quite spicy, story about one of those rarities in life: a man that will admit he was wrong.

I really enjoyed the story, the characters, and the plot. It moved smoothly and never got jarring or overly sentimental. The couple was realistic, the dialog tight, and the sex quite toasty. An enjoyable mature story about a couple who fate throws back together for one more chance at happiness.
Jeanine McAdam
This well written story is about a ‘second chance’ at love, no pun intended because the main character is named Chance. Anyway, life gets complicated but this sweet, short romance has a heroine with lots of heart and a hero with pride. Plus a lot of miscommunication but with a satisfying ending things work out for Carrie and Chance.

I didn't realize it was such a short story until I reached the end. The story was very romantic and had quite a bit of substance for its length. The author's ability to fit so much into such a short book is amazing. It had me wishing for more and I can't wait to read more from this author.

Really enjoyed this sweet, short romantic book. Usually with short stories I am wishing for them to be longer & see the story expand more but Tamara ended this story just right:)
I received this in return for an honest review.

Loved, loved, loved this story! One tiny problem, Tamara....the Indiana State Fair is always in August, not over the 4th of July. Could not put this down!

A page turning short story about a hot cowboy and sassy cowgirl rediscovering the love for each other. But can they put aside fears and regrets.
