In SUSY Asylum, there is no release. There is no escape. No hope.

Oliver and Desiree had their fun gallivanting through Provex City, but found out the hard way just how dangerous it could be for them, especially while impersonating the very people they were trying to avoid.

Their new friend, Darius Fitz, had introduced them to the writings of a mysterious blogger, Commodore

Susy Asylum is a great follow up to Provex City. We get to find out more of the characters we have come to love from Provex City. The things they went through and why they went through them and what haunts them. My heart really went out to Oliver and Desiree because they have gone through so much and Oliver will have to face some demons he does not know even exist. For Desiree she has to deal with the loss of someone she loved and someone she was close to.

SUSY Asylum is a book that reminds me of Inception crossed with Poltergeist 3. Michael breathes life into multiple planes of existence in this book. We get more background on characters we met in "Provex City" and are given little snippets along the way of the horrible events that brought T.J. and Desiree's love to ruin (I really felt bad for both of them and wished that T.J. had sought help for his problems because he obviously did not mean to "date rape" his girlfriend as he loved her very ...more

(This review can be found on my blog The (Mis)Adventures of a Twenty-Something Year Old Girl).

After finishing Provex City, I was definitely intrigued with what would happen to Oliver and Desiree. Luckily, I was able to dive right into SUSY Asylum, and while it wasn't as good as Provex City, it was definitely still interesting.

I think the blurb does an excellent job at describing what this book is about, so I won't bore you by just putting it into my own words.

The title caught my attention easily

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for my stop on the blog tour at Donnie Darko Girl.

After reading SUSY Asylum, I'm still amazed how much this series affects me. This might sound crazy, but the world Michael Pierce has built seems so real that I want to stare off into the distance to try to see Provex City for myself. You feel like you could definitely move between planes of existence if you had Mr. Gordon teaching you how to tap into that ability. That's how real t

Since the first book sort of ended in a place that drove me crazy, I was more than eager to read the second one and find out what the heck was gonna happen next. I had come to adore Oliver and his voice and I was excited to read another book from his perspective.

The book takes place a few weeks after the first book ended. Not too much time has passed and the characters are just getting back into the groove of things after the epic inter- dimensional travel from book one. Okay, maybe dimensio

SUSY Asylum

“We are wolves among sheep.” – Oliver Grain, SUSY Asylum.

SUSY Asylum by Michael Pierce once again follows Oliver Grain into the higher plane of Provex City, but as he delves deeper into the city the truths he uncovers could very well destroy him. I have to say I was slightly disappointed with Oliver’s lack of progress with his gifts in the first half of this story. But the last few chapters more than made up for it.

SUSY Asylum pretty much continues where the story left off in Provex C

All the dangers warned about in book 1 became a reality in book 2, SUSY Asylum . The world building continues to be amazing and the twists and turns that the story takes as mind over matter and alternate planes of existence are conquered by Oliver and Desiree are fascinating.

The main charactersgo through so much that it’s easy to forget that they'rehigh school sophomores. Eventsthat would break the average adult make Oliver and Desiree stronger. Their characters grow a lot as Oliver learns to f
I absolutely 100% loathe Desiree. I do. I don't think she has any redeeming qualities. But this story...OH THIS STORY. I'm absolutely intrigued and want to just gobble up more! Mr Gordon (Daniel) and his teachings are fascinating to me and makes me wish that every time I gaze off into space, I, too, could see into another plane of consciousness. I thought it took a bit to get to SUSY Asylum, but every single step was necessary and SUSY does not disappoint for sheer viciousness. I felt SO bad ...more
