As with the first book in The Advocate Trilogy, I thoroughly enjoyed the ride, but was unsure of where it was taking me until the end. I am learning to not underestimate Scholl or try to guess too far ahead. The finely-crafted strategies move the plot along, keeping me questioning where she is taking us. The depth of theology continues to probe my faith, and I look forward to discussing it with others. I greatly enjoyed the growth in some characters, though I admit I was hoping for a bit more in ...more
