"Miracles and Grace in an Unlikely Place" is an inspiring, relevant read that many will relate to. It is a story that is honest, moving, and sad, that gives us a candid look into a troubled marriage. I bought this book almost a year ago and waited till now to read it. But it was worth waiting for. I'm a lifelong resident of Hollister, California, and a frequent patron of Johnny's Bar. I have thus met Charisse. I bought a copy when Charisse held a booksigning at the bar last year. She tells of her journey of buying and owning the bar and helping her husband on the road to recovery from alcohol abuse. All in all a very good read. If you've ever been to the motorcycle rallies held in Hollister ...more
