A healing Love is a very different kind of romance. While there is certainly a romantic element to the story, in my opinion A Healing Love is more a story of... well just like to title says, the healing power of love. Not just romantic love, but all kinds of love. The support of family and friends is so important when trying to overcome an obstacle, be it physical or emotional.

I received a complimentary copy of this book as a part of a book tour in exchange for a fair and honest review. I rated it 4 out of 5 Stars.

A contemporary romance dealing with emotionally and physically wounded characters, Tara Chevrestt’s A Healing Love tackles acceptance and recovery. Likable characters, lively dialogue and a touch of humor make this emotionally charged story easy to connect with. Set in a small fictional town in Wyoming, Ms. Chevrestt reminds us that in order to heal we must

*I received this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. All opinions are my own and no other compensation was received.*

My Thoughts:
This is the second book I have read written by Tara and I have to say I love this woman. I mean, her theme for writing ~ and I imagine in life ~ is STRONG is SEXY. How cool is that? How empowering for women! Kimberly is all of that and more. She went through hell and then some. The story picks up where the healing begins...the Teton Valley in Wyoming.

Sarah's Review:

I read this as an ARC back in May. This review is from my Goodreads page. I want to thank the author for the ARC of this story. As soon as she posted the cover on Facebook, I said I wanted to read it. Well, she made it happen!

A Healing Love really touched me in ways that were unexpected. I am constantly amazed at the way Tara Chevrestt can create characters that are so realistic that you feel like you are in the same room with them. This is one of those stories that will require a box of tissue nearby if you are the least bit emotional.

Kimberly is an amazing woman that is strong, brave, courageous, and simple awe inspiring. After a time in the military, she is home now due to some serious injuries she sustained. Unab

I am a fan of Tara's books and was glad to be part of this tour. Kimberly is a woman that had been hurt before and was hellbent on not allowing anyone to harm her again. Her solution? Join the military. She becomes a strong woman and she will need that strength to survive. After she is wounded by an IED, she goes to her brother to recuperate. In walks her therapist who is attracted to the woman he is supposed to be helping. I love these characters and the story that Tara has woven together. I am ...more

This was a GREAT book! Tara took something really hard to not only write about but think about as well and made it into a very sweet story!

Kimberly had a tough life and decided to join the Army to make sure no one was ever able to hurt her again. Serving her country seemed to fit her so well and she enjoyed it until she made one bad call that changed her entire life.

Kimberly being forced to move in with her brother makes her eventually want to get help. She strives for independence, job and lov

I really enjoyed this read. The only thing I was a little hesitant about was Carlos' attraction to Kimberly in a professional environment. People are people and this sort of thing happens all the time. But once he handed her off to another therapist, I was much happier about their interactions.

This was as much a story of inner strength and conquering your own internal demons as it was a romance. The author did an excellent job highlighting both as well as showing how people treat others with dis

I love that this is about a woman veteran. I love the friendship between Kimberly and her sister in law. I love the many ways healing takes place in this story.

Tara Chevrestt is a deaf woman, aviation mechanic, and dog mom. She loves vintage clothes and period dramas and wishes she could time travel. You’ll never see her without her Kindle or a book within reach. As a child, she would often take a flashlight under the covers to finish the recent Nancy Drew novel when she was supposed to be sleeping.

She no longer writes books, but you can still read her t
