This is the first novel by Maya Banks I have read, and I loved it. But it’s actually three connecting novellas. Plus, all the characters appear in each one, which I think is really neat. However each novella focuses on one of the three love relationships among these characters.

In a way Banks reminds me of Lora Leigh. Only Leigh’s novels have a grittier edge to them, which I have never liked, even though I do enjoy her novels. But I have to say I like Banks’ style better and in...more

Kit wants that relationship with Mac but she also wants their mutual friend Ryder. Banks does a very credible job of focusing on the emotional turmoil for all three characters. The stories contain lots of graphically described sex, but ultimately, the reader will remember the emotion and the relationships.

In the third story, a friend of Ryder's, Mia, finds trouble in a small Texas town where everybody from the local judge to the sheriff's department are corrupt and involved in a sex slave auction operation. Fortunately, old flame and older man, Jack, gets wind of her working as a stripper and arrives to claim her as his own slave.

Again, Banks focuses on their relationship, not the sex (though that is frequently and graphically described).

The plots in each story are well-developed and credible, the characters have emotional depth, and the pace is quick and consistent.

After reading Maya Banks' Colters' Woman and Seducing Simon, as well as books by Shayla Black/Shelley Bradley, I've come to the conclusion that what one can expect from these authors when their books are published by Samhain (good stories, but plot-lite) vs. their books published by Heat Division of Berkley (longer stories, much more depth) is like swimming in a lake vs. the ocean. I like getting hit by those big waves. Much more drama!

I've yet to pick up a book published by Heat/Berkley that isn't destined for my keeper shelf. For Her Pleasure is no exception. I give it four stars because while it's a book I'll probably reread and recommend, it's not a book that will 'haunt' me.(less)

This book has 3 stories, the first 2 are basically one, where the last one is a slight spin off. I really enjoyed the first 2 more than the first.

When the story starts we are 6 months after the event and the 3 of them are still dancing around things.

Finally Mac can't stand it any longer and declares to Ryder that he isn't going to let this go on and that he wants forever with Kit. Ryder is more than shocked at this, but still up for the fun between the 3 of them.

The first story deals with how they set up this new aspect to their relationship, all the while the rapist is still stalking Kit. The 3 of them are dealing with just what their feelings are, with it seeming like Ryder is the one that is eventually going to be left behind.

It seems like only when the bad guy makes his moves does everyone realize just what their feelings are.

The second story is Ryder pulling back even though he realizes just how much he loves Kit, but he doesn't want to hurt his friends. Events happen that allow Ryder to be pulled back in, but when his friends need him the most he walks away again. This forces Mac and Kit to come to some hard truths.

And this is where the story gets really good. All three of them have to be brutally honest with themselves and each other in what they want. They all want to do the right thing and not hurt anyone, but it is hard when you have 3 people, unless there is a lot of give someone is bound to get hurt.

I loved the conclusion to these 2 stories, it was just what needed to happen.

The third story centers around a friend of Ryder's, Mia. She is a stripper in a near by town. When Ryder was hurting him and Mia forged a solid friendship, both of them hurt by people they loved. We learn just who (Jack) and how he hurt Mia right away. I hated Jack at this point and really didn't see any way for him to be redeemed. By the time I got to the end of the story I didn't hate him any more, but I still thought that Mia could have done much better than him.(less)

I love Maya Banks writing in general but I think next to the Colters', this is one of my favorite from her. She definitely knows how to make the woman feel like the center of the universe whether with one man or three. There is a such thing as "too much" love scenes. When your reading an Erotic Romance sometimes there is just so much focus on the sex it's like reading a marathon of love making through the whole book. What She Wants: had the perfect blend of excitement, suspense & passion. Ryder & Mac are the perfect Alpha-males, as Banks heroes always are. And as always Kit was the perfect heroine. Banks has a way of making the heroine vulnerable without being weak and in need of the hero(s)without being needy. Her heroines are always pretty incredible woman with enough strengths in character to earn the attention of the heroes even while allowing her to be the damsel in distress. (If that makes sense!)

What She Needs: ties in quite nicely to the first. I love how she took two possible outcomes of what a three-some could lead to and basically made two great endings to one amazing story. And Banks continues to give you enough excitement & suspense to every story to keep you hanging on.

What She Craves: Another amazing read. I loved Mia and Logan as much as Kit, Mac & Ryder. And I loved there part in Mia's story. This one had even more excitement than the first two. I purposely look for novels that are part of a series because I loved to read about all the characters when they get there own story so you know them all as well as you do the main characters of that particular novel. These 3 stories flowed so nicely together. The only thing I will fault is Kit's behavior toward Mia in the 3rd story. To me that was a character weakness that Kit was being selfish and put her own feeling in front of Mia's safety. As if the poor woman hadn't been through enough. (less)

Love how this is a interlocking set of stories that continues from one set of characters into another. I wish there was a little more detail in regard to character background of Mac/Ryder and Kit and then again with Kincaid...though I felt sufficiently acquainted with Mia. I also would have liked a little more to each story...I felt like they kind of just dropped off. I had a hard time getting into this book. The plot moves to fast and it can be confussing at times because it switches back and forth between who is talking with out any indication of the switch. However if you looking for a book with some nice sex seens this book is for you. Alright so not one of my favorites. It is well enough written but maybe just slightly too depressively seedy for my tastes. Too much incorporation of the big bad world. The starring females in these three stories are all technically sexually violated in one way or another and saved from that violation by the heroes in the stories and loved regardless of those occurrences. I read this in one day, which usually means I really like the book! I stayed up late to finish it, but totally worth it. All the stories are connected but it was neat to see them in broken-up stories because they switched point of view, which helped the story suck me in.

I loved the characters and the sex scenes were HOT...especially the threesome scenes. The last story (about Mia) was my least favorite, but it was still very good. I didn't love Mia as much as Kit from the first o...more

I felt the drama in these three tales was far too high, and then to have it interlaced with the erotica I know and love from Maya Banks. I'm so glad this isn't my first book from her. I spent most of the book irritated or angry with the characters, and then the BDSM that was supposedly in this book was thrown in as an afterthought toward the end. Definitely more of a manage story with enough drama, misunderstanding, and hospital visits to harp on every fiber of nerve.

Out of three stories, I only like the last one. The characters conflicts and issues are better written and the characters are more real.

The story between Kit, Mac, and Ryder is just underwhelming. Aside from Ryder, the other two characters are pretty bland.

And I got so sick to the point of nauseating of Mac calling Kit 'baby'. The lady has a name. Use it.

I loved all three of these stories. I'm totally in love with these sexy alpha heroes. Maya did a great job matching up these men and women together. Mac, Ryder, and Kit were so Hot, yet so adorably endearing. And the third story was no less Hot!! I didn't want the stories to end....would have loved for them to be full length books so we could enjoy the characters longer!!

2 stories in one book. The first story involves Kit and Mac and Ryder. For a biker, Ryder's a surprisingly whiny guy. Too much angst, at least where I started the story. I liked Mac better. The story was alright, mostly standard fare. Maybe I wasn't in the mood.
The second story involves Ryder's friend from a bar, Mia. You learn her backstory and why she stayed at the bar instead of moving on. Of course, it involves obligatory male interest. I liked when they fought: lots of sparks flying....more
