I found this book to be balanced and helpful. It answered several questions I've had, helping me to better understand depression and also to better understand how to show mercy and be compassionate without sinking under the burden I'm wanting to help others bear. With vulnerability and compassion, Greg Russ shares from his heart about his own struggle with chronic, recurring depression. He challenges the church, but without having a critical spirit toward the church and I really appreciate that. ...more

This was an amazing book. It is a Christian minded way to deal with depression. He uses wonderful metaphors such as football fields and things to allow us to connect with thoughts and ideas.
