Fascinating title that fits the many characteristics of this driven, intelligent, and difficult man. The book concentrates on his scientific life. There is something surprising about such a well known figure (famous for his role in the discovery of the planet Neptune) who moves others to comment on his gruff personality even in his obituaries.
