Look, I know it may be difficult to take me seriously because I've given the Kris Jenner book 4 stars, but hear me out. It's good. I mean come on - Kris admits to cheating on Robert Kardashian in a scandalous affair with some loser AND gives us intimate details on the whole Nicole Brown Simpson murder!! She even tells us wether or not she thinks O.J. is guilty. In fact, I was shocked that such a huge chunk of this book was about that case and so little was written about Kris' now famous family....more

Nothing like a bit of reality - easy read and I have to say I enjoyed it

“Kris Jenner and all things Kardashian” details Kris’s Jenner’s biography and stepping stones to creating the media frenzy currently enjoyed by this family. Kris herself came from a modest family background, her grandmother ran a candle store, and her father left them when she was little. Kris the teenager has a romance with a professional golfer, and gradually gets introduced to Robert Kardashian, a family-oriented lawyer of Armenian descent who fell head over heels for her. Kris doesn’t feel t...more

I wanted a quick summer read and although I'm not a big fan of the Kardashian's I thought I would see if Kris could convince me they are something special. However from page one I had issues with this book:

1. Horribly written- it read very choppy. She needed to take a writing class before writing this book and her editor should have told her the writing was weak and needed work.

2. I don't care who you know and how you know them! Kris is "best friends" or "close friends" or "family friends" with...more

I picked this one up from the library this week, and stayed up and read it all in one go, in a couple of hours. Because of only having poor peoples tv, I have only managed to see a few of the shows, when house sitting and watching a Keeping up with the Kardashians marathon. You can't avoid them though, that whole Kardashians are everywhere, magazines, TV and papers.

I didn't expect to like the book, I thought it would be all superficial frothy staff, however it did surprise me. Kris met her first...more

This was our second book club pick and it made for a ridiculous book club party. I enjoyed reading about Kris's past and her affairs and how she came to meet Robert Kardashian. The biggest chunk of the book focuses on Nicole Brown Simpson and the OJ trial and how it affected her relationship with Robert and her children. That stuff was fascinating, but other than that she's just rambling about her new houses and her success and how everything is just "amaaaazing". Also it's super obvious that Ki...more

All in all I really learned alot from reading this book. Kris covered her life's "defining moments" in pretty good detail up until most recently. It was interesting to learn that when she was younger she could have had her leg amputated. Luckily she didn't have to. When she divorced from Robert Kardashian she took nothing from him. She learned business skills very early on from her grandmother and mother.

I thought the pace of the book was very good. Kris wrote just the right amount for the subje...more

I have a love/hate anything Kardashian philosophy. I try to keep up with what's going on in the entertainment world because you never know when I might be on a trivia show and a Kardashian question might come up.

On the one hand, I must say this book was better than Kyle Richards' recent book.

While on the one hand Kris is a real powerhouse, I'm not sure if it's all in a good way. She is a social climber and has done an excellent job at it. Her work ethic seems to have been picked up by some of h...more

Yup, I like the Kardashians. They fascinate me. I don't know why....something about a good fame whore I guess. LOL

I have to say, after reading this, Kris annoys the living shit outta me. I normally like her on the show (in small doses) but this rather large dose of her was a bit much. The constant name dropping, the Oh My God we are so wealthy and blessed, and the I am awesome-NO-WE are awesome irked me and showed me how prideful she is. But, I must say, she puts it out there and makes no bones...more

Everyone I know hates the Kardashians and what they represent (opulent celebritydom). Yet for some reason, people still continue to watch their reality tv show(s). So not for nothing, they are interesting enough (whether we admit it or not) and keep us amused with their lives.

So yes, I will admit that I really enjoyed reading this book. It felt very candid (at least her early life), especially in regards to Kris' marriage and divorce with Robert Kardashian. And oooooooooh OJ Simpson! I had comp...more

I really enjoyed this book, to a point. I am fascinated by the Kardashians (and my husband think's it's an irrational obsession), so I picked up the book. Kris is a decent writer and I was truly sucked in to learn about her upbringing and how she came to marry Robert Kardashian. It was a great story.

Then there was the information about the OJ/Nicole story. She went into great depth about the deterioration of their relationship and the trial, which I found fascinating as well. I was really excite...more

Judge away, but this shit was $3.99 at TJ Maxx and I'm a sucker for a cheap book. She's pretty shameless but whatever she's doing is working, whatever she's selling people are buying and I've been known to get dragged into an ep or two of Keeping up with the Kardashians.

She's pretty candid about her affair and for all her success pretty much credits that as her one failure in life... and losing money on a town home. Her other eye-rolly moment was when she decides her epiphany moment was when ev...more

I picked this one up after hearing about it on the premiere episode of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" (yes, I watch that show, and I enjoy it) and hearing about some affair that Kris Jenner had. I didn't know she wrote a book, a few days later I got this from my local library, and honestly, I couldn't put it down.

The book starts off with Kris and her childhood. It spans her adulthood with a pro-golfer boyfriend till she meets Robert Kardashian. Then the book sorta goes to a different tone. I...more

I bought this book for my mum who absolutely loved it and recommended I give it a read. I finished it within 2 days and found it highly interesting. So many people hate on the Kardashians saying 'they're only famous for being famous' which is something kris herself addresses in the book but I think when you really learn about her life before the show, the tough situations she's been through, and how she's come out the other side a better person for them, you can really learn to respect her. Just...more

Kris Jenner is the “Momager” to all her kids but is her husband Bruce’s manager as well. Most people today know her from their family show Keeping Up With The Kardashians but there is so much more to her story. How she got to the point she is in today. From where she started with the strong women who influenced her early in life, to her marriage to Robert Kardashian, to her friendships with Nicole and O.J. Simpson, to how she met and married Bruce Jenner. She tells all.

This book Kris Jenner...And All Things Kardashians was a really good book. A lot of people I know really underestimate Kris and her family. They really have been through a lot. In the beginning of the book Kris talks about her life when she was a teenager. Then as the story goes on she talks about her life as she gets older and older. She talks about her friends, family, relationships, and how she felt during all of these huge milestones in her life. I really liked how I kind of got to know her...more

I was NOT planning on reading this. Especially after Kim Kardashian's ridiculous 72-day sham of a marriage, which I believe was for TV ratings, I was giving up all things Kardashian. But it was on my Mom's Nook, and it was such a fast read on the beach, I almost had no choice. I still don't like that the Kardashian name is bringing in so much fame and fortune, but there were interesting aspects to the book. I particularly liked the part about OJ Simpson, who was like a big brother to Kris - and...more

This book is the first selection for "Ridiculous Book Club" my friends and I started. Kris did not disappoint!

Kris tells us how fun everything in her life is, about all her fabulous clothes, her stoopid affair, and most importantly how she had the balls and confidence to rise from a teen bride into a business mogul.

The book is a quick read, surprisingly informational, and whisks you into a dreamy (idealized) California wonderland.

The take home message I took from this book that you should alway...more

I got this at the library and was actually on the waitlist for a few weeks so I know I'm not the only one reading it. I watch the Kardashian's show, but I don't record/DVR it; I'll watch if I happen upon it. The introduction was horrible and not even what the book is about really. I was worried it was going to be all about the kids. But it's not the book is actually about Kris. I can't always hear her voice when reading so I'm not sure how much she 'wrote' but the beginning of the book just talk...more

At first I started to watch the reality show just to get a laugh... at them- not with them. But as the episodes went by it became a guilty pleasure and just like that I was hocked. And as soon as I found out that Kris Jenner had written a book I instantly wanted to read it.

And I must say-
Wow what a strong magnificant woman Kris is! She deserves more credit than she is given. I enjoyed reading the story of her life, all the ups and the downs. She is really honest in this book and that is somethin...more

I read this book in one day. It really held my attention. I am the same age as Kris and could relate to her life. I know she is a controversial character, but I have respect for the life she has put together.

She has accomplished quite a lot with all the companies she has including several successful TV shows. She has a connection with her inner self and God that leads her in the right direction and I believe that is one of the reasons she is so successful.

The only caveat would be that it does s...more

Ugh. I am so disappointed in this book. It should be known that I LOVE the Karadashians. I love the idea of being famous for absolutely no reason. But this book just opened up my eyes to the over privileged life the entire family has lived. The chapters regarding the OJ trial were interesting to me as I was young when that happened and I did not really know the whole story behind the trial. However, my "google" research found that Nicole Brown Simpson's family basically said Kris Jenner was a li...more

Ya I read her memWAH...SO? The Kardashians are one of my not so secret guilty pleasures. Prior to reading her book, I admired Kris Jenner for being a very successful, powerful, self-made businesswoman who is motivated by her love for her family. After reading this book, I can still say that I respect her for taking charge of her own life and becoming what she is today, the brains behind a billion dollar brand. However, there were certain moments in this book that made me hate her - for her immat...more

I liked this far more than I thought I would; I kind of picked it up at the library as a joke, really. What intrigued me most about the story was the detail from the OJ trial. It was interesting to revisit that time in history and read about it from an insider's perspective.

Yes, everything in Kris' world is "perfect" and "amazing". But really, she has made her own opportunities in life, and like it or not, she has passed this on to her children. Yes, the book is mostly fluff. The writing is not...more

I began reading this book as a big fan of the show, but not so much a fan of Kris. After reading, I feel a lot more fondly towards her. She goes into a lot of detail about her childhood and teen years, which shows how her experiences have shaped her as she is today. I did wish that there was more about the family 'scandals' like Kim's sex tape, some of their endorsements that have gone wrong like the dodgy mastercard, but I can understand why she would be hesitant to write about that. Overall, I...more

I gave this book one start because it was just what I needed for a week at the beach-total trash that was worth the $1.99 I spent on the used copy. While I was prepared for the trash, I was not prepared for the fact that apparently KJ did not have an editor. The story moves back and forth between decades, with no rhyme or reason, making it hard to follow, most of the book is written in fragmented sentences as opposed to complete thoughts, and I'm pretty sure there are some made-up words that are...more

This memoir really wasn't what I had originally expected from Kris Jenner; I am pleasantly surprised.

Although Kris speaks a lot of being blessed and following her dreams, she always had the means financially to pursue these dreams. This definitely isn't a tale of rags to riches, but the chapters about Kris & Robert Kardashians close relationship with O.J. Simpson & Nicole Brown was particularly interesting.

I enjoyed that this memoir wasn't all about the family's current fame, moreso wh...more

What piece of shit who has no shame whatsoever! This book is and forever will be an abomination to the term "autobiography". Awful prose! Egoism extremism! This crap is just another way for her to market her family and earn money off of bullshit that we already know her and her family are known for. And to think that elsewhere, hundreds or maybe thousands of aspiring TALENTED writers were rejected to make room for this pathetic book that rants on and on about materialistic and consumerism-obsess...more

This was an incredibly fast read. Despite what other reviews on amazon, I really liked this book. You get to know Kris from the very beginning when she was a youngster in San Diego (Point Loma area) before she met Robert Kardashian. She goes into detail about Nicole Brown Simpson and O.J., her and Robert's relationship with them, the murder, the trial, and it makes me want to revisit the trial of the century again after what she talks about. She doesn't dish about any celebrities, but name-drops...more

This book is interesting and disturbing at the same time. It's interesting to hear the back story of the woman who literally thinks she runs the world- and interesting to see how she became so narcissistic. On the other hand- knowing the back story literally disgusted me and made me feel sorry for her poor children that they were raised by this self-absorbed woman who will stop at nothing for fame and fortune. The name dropping in this book is beyond and it honestly explains why the Kardashians...more
