What did I think?

One word: Wow.

If you have read Ms. Field's other books, you know that you're expecting some level of conflict, and real-life struggles for her characters to go through. You're also expecting it to be "adult-oriented" this definitely is.

"Bad boy" musician, Brody Hines, whose publicist introduces him to the elusive Emma, falls in love. Hard. While the book seems to move pretty quickly {as does their love story}, it is totally believable...hello?! Have we heard of Britney Spe
I wanted to like this book. I really did. I love a good rockstar (think Kellan Kyle). I felt the plot had potential. It started out decent enough, but then it just tumbled downhill & it fell fast. Characters were having some major mood swings, scenes were very disjointed, and editing was HORRIBLE! I’m surprised I even finished this book. But I definitely will not be wasting my time on the rest of the series!
I wish I could give Wrapped in Silk more stars.

Sadly, I had a few problems with this book.

The characters were so hot and cold and a bit bi-polar, perhaps. I read someone else's review that had mention this, as well. A character would be bawling there eyes out and then out of nowhere, was completely fine.

The story line had so much promise but it just didn't flow well, at all. I was frustrated throughout, because I was constantly getting confused. I kept thinking I had skipped a page, paragraph,

I had a VERY hard time finishing this book. I kept waiting for it to get better, or less confusing and it just never did. When I was about ready to give up on it, my OCD kicked in and I had to finish it. The story line had potential but it was just choppy and didn't flow at all. I kept getting confused and having to go back and re-read to see if I had missed something. The characters seemed bipolar at time. They would be happy, then instantly crying, then angry and all of sudden laughing again i ...more
Honestly, I didn't know what to think when I started this book. I'm not a big fan of the rocker books, they don't really resonate with me. But here's the thing, this wasn't your typical rocker book, yes it had a famous rock star, but it didn't focus on his career. There was so much more depth to this story than just your basic, famous person story.

There were several different story lines that weaved themselves together quite nicely. Each of the characters were dealing with issues that were very

This is a sensitive and emotional love story about second chances in life.

Emma and Brody virtually run into each other and fate takes it from there. Their friendship and love affair grows and neither one knows how deeply they are falling in love.

This story deals with second chances after divorce, illness and impossible stumbling blocks.

Emotional read!
First off I thought the book was cheesey love story and would have quick HEA. OMGI WAS WRONG,, by the end of first book I was like Shit are u kidding me. It took an amazing turn, left me hanging and grabbing my head. I was so excited to see a second book, which I then started imemediatly. Wow just wow
This book started off really slow and then when it picked up I thought it was over shortly but it kept going and then left you with a huge cliff hanger I sort of saw coming. Can't wait to read the next one I just hope it's not to long but I can guess the few things it will probably be about
I loved this book. I loved Brody's character, strong and domineering but also soft and caring. I imagned his voice to be like the singer from Nickleback. Emma's character came alive as the story goes on. I cried at the end of this book. Need more of Brody and Emma. What a cliffhanger!

Although I did like the story line and emotiomal parts where truly heart felt. The editing has needs. Loved watching the love evolve between Emma and Brody. And the fact that he totally loved her daughter and has accepted her as his own. Great story line.
Great story by the editing is very poor.

Loved this book...
Zupełne przypadkowe niewinne spotkanie z nieznajomym daje początek i bieg całej historii.
Brody Hiens jest młodym dwudziestoparoletnim sławny
3.5 stars

The first half of the book was very good. I Loved Brody. I love strong guys, confident and macho and all that jazz.
The second part of the book was a little confusing. Jumping from one place to another. I felt it was way too fast pace.
I lost count of HOW MANY TIMES, Brody and Emma said "I love you" to each other, to the point that I wasn’t going to finish the book. Not realistic AT ALL, and really kind of tiresome. I mean, I get it…you love each other, but don’t have to say every singl
I had read the Love Series with Tessa and Lucus up to Love You Anyways.
Emma is going thru a divorce and trying to take care of her 7 year old daughter London she is in New York visiting a college friend where she meets Brody Hines. Brody is a British Rock Star going thru a very public divorce from a model in New York meeting his publicist who happens to be Emma's friend. Emma and Brody have a couple of amusing run ins when they give in to their attraction to each other. Their relationship is cra
I was so into this book and these two characters and their unlikely love affair, right up until the 60% mark and then I got extremely confused as to why the plot went the direction it went...I had to keep telling myself "this is fiction, this is fiction, this is fiction...don't take it seriously and wait 3 more pages because they will "do it" for the umpteenth time in an hour and all will be well".

The "far-fetchedness" of the actions and direction that these two otherwise solid characters went w

Emma was being a pain in the ass at the beginning trying to push Brody away but finally things came together. Emma's daughter London is a treat throughout the book I just want to love on her. Things get a little mushy but then there's sadness and mystery. There are still somethings about Brody's past that are still unknown and what is his uncle Bo into? Lots and Lots of hot juicy sex. Ending is a cliff hanger but the next book "Wrapped in Armor" and even the 3rd book "Wrapped Always and Forever"
Where do I even start. This book had me so confused. I have to say it was a little difficult trying to keep up with all the characters. Also there is some major grammar errors. Most of the time I don't even notice them but in this whole series they are there and I noticed them. So if that is something that drives you mad then I would stay away from this book. I am glad it doesn't bother me because I would have hated to miss out on this great series. I love Brody and Emma and little London is jus ...more
This book was amazing! I loved it!! I thought the way the scene were written made u see them in your mind very easily!! The subjects that the author touch upon like: breast cancer, infertility, drug use, infidelity, divorce and others, were written incrediblity! I couldn't help but fall in love with each and every character and loved them all! The love scenes were HOT but yet tastefully done!!! Thanks so much for another great book! Looking forward to the rest in the series!!!

Wow.....My husband is thinking I'm crazy right now!! Just finished this book and looked over at my husband saying OMG, OMG, what is going on!! He said are you really acting like that over a book LOL!!! M.J. Fields you are a amazing writer!!! If you want something different than the same old cheesy romance novel, you will Love this book!!! But be warned you will end this book saying the same thing!!! Good thing I already have book two to read!!:)
How do I even rate this book??? The story was choppy. The editing was poor. At times, I didn't even understand what I had just read. Despite going back and re-reading.

I enjoyed the start up until the last 30% when it starts to go in a completely different direction. And I didn't care for the amount of s!x scenes as the book progressed. These added zilch to the storyline for me.
The beginning of the book worked on the premise that the rocker and the suburban mom make a great couple, and they did have real chemistry. The Rocker is at a point in his life where stability is appealing to him. The end has a mysterious past come out of nowhere. Poor editing and plot transitions. I love rocker romances and wanted to love this one more, but not sure the book was well thought out in advance.

I absolutely love this book, the entire trilogy. In this first book I got to know the characters and feel in love with them. I could not get enough of the daughter London. I will not say any more about the plot, just know that you can not and will not predict what happens in the rest of the series. This is so much more than a love story it has it all. Thank you MJ Fields for a wonderful series.
I had a hard time putting it down.
Emma is a woman who is facing the end of an awful marriage and the raising of her daughter almost by herself. Then along jogs Brody Hines! Rock star, hunky younger man!
The push/pull & ups/downs of a new relationship multiplied fur to his status!
Fabulous book, I recommend it and I will be seeking out the next book in the series!
Jennifer Alaniz
I loved this book. I wasn't into the whole rock star until this book. Brody is amazing hot as hell rock start!! I love how he falls in love with Emma and her daughter. Emma had been through hell with her first marriage so I understand her not wanting to jump in another relationship. I love this series and this was just the first book!!
I really loved the story of Emma & Brody and I really liked the author's style of writing. Really thought there was too much drama but the thing that got me the most was the editing. I can overlook errors and typos, some. But wrong words were used. If you can read past that, I think you will enjoy the book.
I binged on MJ's book for a couple of weeks and then I had to stop.

This series is so good I dont even know where to start. You'll read this one and then move not to the series with their teenage children.

Loved it.
I think this book was okay. I didn't like how the author change the subject so fast ,it made it confusing sometime. I hope the second installment is better. which I think I wait for the third one come out so I can read both.
Laurel Johnson
