In the continuing tradition of this being a sort of 'choose your own adventure love interest', we once again visit the Country of Hearts in a version where Alice ends up with Blood - but on a different course than the original series.

I have to say I like it better than the Country of Hearts ending. This seemed less forced and made a bit more sense. And I do sort of like Alice with Blood - but I still prefer Boris.

Overall, this is a fun, quick little duology that focuses on Wonderland's own Mafi...more

Perhaps it's the fault of my expectations that I felt this was a let down. This book probably should have been a post return to Hearts instead of what it ended up being. With the original series that came out several years ago ending with Alice with the Hatter this book becomes a waste of space. It's a poorly constructed retelling trying to piggyback off of tension established in the original manga series. (I realize that the series is based off of a popular video game, but when we move to diffe...more

I didn't know where to start with the side manga so I was told to start here. I thought this was just continuing the story from the main manga but it is really filling in gaps from the main manga. It is okay and well all the same.

This manga focuses on when Alice stays at the Hatter Mansion when she first arrives in Wonderland. Things get kind of fresh with her and Blood and the manga starts to explain why she stays with the Hatter and why he accuses her of comparing him to her ex.

I'm surprised by how much I liked this one. In all the other incarnations of AitCoH, my opinion of Blood ranged anywhere from "barely tolerating" to "absolutely despising."

This volume actually made me like him. His jerkishness from past volumes felt more like teasing this time around, and maybe because Alice saw it as such and hung around rather than flying off the handle, I was able to see that too. He actually seemed sweet this time around, which is pretty shocking.

My only complaint is that th...more

In this series Alice is living at the Hatters Mansion so we get to see her interacting a lot with a lot of different members of the Hatter Territory, both those with Roles as well as the servants of the house. Since she is living there we also get to see a lot of scenes between her and Blood and different aspects of their relationship. I look forward to the next volume of this series.

This book read like a set up book, which it is I realize, I just wish there was more to it. I didn't really get a feel for Blood or Alice in this book. It was all just set up for later. I am also getting annoyed with the authors/artists lack of showing any sex. I get confused about whether she did it or not with any number of people in the other books, and that continues in this one, did Blood and Alice have sex? If so why is she waking up fully dressed? Did they not? I'm so confused. If they di...more

Repeats a lot from the main series, but enough changes to work.

I was a bit disappointed as it was basically just a repeat of the AITCOH series. It is interesting to see Blood Dupre and the other members of the Hatter's Mansion. But again, it is till basically the same as the AITCOH series. However, I'm interested to see what the next one will be like.

I was so excited to finally read the Blood volume, but I must say I was disappointed :( The artwork had changed, and it's not as pretty as it used to be.
And there was no suspense whatsoever! Just disappointed in this one, really.

The Hatter better come up with some attractive, redeeming qualities, because so far, it's not happening for me.
