I really liked this book because it talked about a young boy who left the bustling city life to live amongst the animals and nature. My by far favorite part of the book is when he finds a wounded animal (cant say what animal because it will ruin the rest of the book for the people who haven’t read it). I think the book was made to influence opinion on saving the wilderness that is still left out there. It also talks about how there are still native American...more

Brian’s Hunt
The book that I read was Brian’s Hunt. The author is Gary Paulsen and the genre is adventure. I picked this book out because I had read the book Hatchet, which is also by Gary Paulsen. There are many books to this series.
Brian is a kid who knows a lot about the Canadian woods. He was there first when his plane crashed and he had to survive there. Brian has gone back many times to the Canadian woods. He likes it more in the woods then in the city. This time, he goes back t...more

Gary Paulsen’s Brian’s Hunt is the fifth and final Brian book. This book is about Brian Robeson, who left civilization, and is just living in the wilderness. Brian is sleeping in his canoe one night, and he heard something walking towards him. He came to realize it is a female dog. The dog has a big flap of skin torn off her back, and Brian asks himself, “Where did she come from?” “How did this happen?” Brian searches for his Cree friends that he has met before. His instincts tell hi...more

Although, I enjoy hiking and running, I am not into the extreme outdoors and therefore I am not really into Paulsen books too much.
This book is the most recent in a series of books, starting with Hatchet, which follows Brian Robeson as he journeys through the Canadian wilderness. With his parents’ permission, Brian chooses to go back and live in the wilderness because he prefers it over his life in the city. Several days into his stay, he finds a wounded dog whom he befriends and nurture...more

I think that Gary Paulsen did a fantastic job of keeping me reading and made me think what would I do if I was in his position. Made me keep on reading and he made everything so intense and it was a wonderful book

I think this is a pretty good book. It is a little boring at some parts. It is an interesting book. It is cool when he talks about hunting. The middle of the book is the most exciting. What made me read this book is that it looks like a different book.

I read this book with my son and his reading book at school. The boys loved and I thought it was a little different but I enjoyed it. I need to go back and read the other books in the series and then I think it will make more sense to me.
