Sakuya was unbearable in this volume. I honestly wanted to kick him in the nuts for being such an a-hole. Everytime I read a scene with him and Sakura, I got really angry. I found out Sakuya's reasoning for hanging out with Sakura and I felt like his motives were a pile of crap. It doesn't matter how honorable his intentions were. Aine's live is turned around when she almost gets struck by an oncoming vehicle on her way to an audition. The driver is none other than Lucifer's lead singer, Sakuya. She then begins to work for Lucifer as their lyricist. Sensual Phrase is about Aine's life and budding romance with lead singer Sakuya and the struggles the band goes through on their way to fame.

Mayu Shinjo debuted in 1994 in Shogakukan's Shōjo Comic with "Anata no Iro ni Somaritai". She continued writing for Shogakukan until 2007, with her works appearing in both Shōjo Comic and their other magazine Cheese!. She left the company to go freelance citing a dispute over working conditions and abusive treatment by her editor.
