Oh my what a mess! Here we meet Bobby Dallas, an unassertive student at Howard University who starts "sleeping" with a girl who he's obviously afraid of! This I remember reading in high school, senior year. It is a really good read it was an introduction to so much more of what I was trying to get my hands on a read.

I really could not get into Tyree's work much but he was one of few african american authors at the time so I made myself read him....Enjoy it - not
