Overall a bit disappointing. Some interesting recipes, but shoehorned into the Sherlock Holmes world. Essentially a book of redacted Victorian recipes, the connection to Doyle's stories are basically "gentlemen of Holmes' and Watson's stature would have eaten this." Chapter introductions have some interesting historical information, and as a whole the book would have been better served if that kind of historical info was found throughout each recipe as well.
