Frederica Kimball had been waiting all her life...waiting to grow up...waiting to become a woman...waiting for the day when Nicholas LeBeck would fall as desperately in love with her as she had always been with him.

Now, at last, she was ready!

Nick didn't know what hit him. Sweet, adorable Freddie, whom he'd always loved like a kid sister, was suddenly looking and acting li

This is one of my favorite Nora Roberts books to go back and reread when I want a good dose of sweet romance. I just really enjoy all parts of this book. I think part of that is the fact that Freddie and Nick aren't new characters. Freddie was first introduced in Taming Natasha (Stanislakis #1) and Nick in Falling For Rachel (Stanislaskis #3). It's great to see how the characters have grown up and are now finding their own loves. I especially enjoyed seeing Nick become a happy man after having s ...more

I enjoyed this quite a bit, we met Nick when he was a teenage delinquent but now he's grown up and a composer and so is Freddie( the adorable six year old in Taming Natasha), who has been in love with him since forever. She moves to New York with a plan to make Nick fall for her, he's a composer and she a lyricist and she wants to make him see her as a woman, and Nick fights hard not to but ends up falling anyways. But Nick still carries a lot of baggage from his old days and messes up

Gosto imenso deste casal! Um bom livro - aliás a série é toda muito gira!

Loved it, I'm a fan of the stanislaski series, Alex and Bess's story was my first ever romance novel! <3 (yes. i felt the need to punctuate that with a totally cheesy unnecessary heart:D)

Generally, if you've read the previous stories, then i have to admit it follows the same formula. Freddie was an interesting heroine, and Nick was your average angsty male protagonist. Actually, i think the auther put more into freddie's character than Nick's, but maybe because she figured out we'd already be

I have read the O'Hurley series books so I was really surprised as I read this story that the Stanislaskis family and the O'Hurley families were connected. It's been awhile. They were probably mentioned in the O'Hurley books and I just totally forgot about them. I loved it though. I love how the families are so close and always looking out for one another. The characters are endearing, strong, and so likeable you want to read the story, making it easy to get lost in the story line. It's also a v ...more

Waiting For Nick is one of the Stanislawski Family series by Nora Roberts. As usual, Nora has made the characters and incidents flow logically and clearly.
Frederica (Freddie) Kimball always knew what she wanted and knew how to go about getting it- Usually she was successful. This time she has her work cut out. She is in New York City around relatives to again meet up with her cousin-by-marriage Nick Stanislawski. She wants to collaborate with him on the score of the newest film he is working.

Seriously. I love how Nora Roberts can build a relationship that makes you cry and laugh. Since the day I read Falling for Rachel, I wanted to see Freddie with Nick! BUT I DIDN'T EXPECT TO SEE ANOTHER FAMILY THAT I LOVE SO MUCH IN THE STORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't wait to read Considering Kate, because than I'll know everything that happened with this amazing family!

Great read

Wonderful book. I love the series. I don't usually like a series that does a generation jump but the reviews were good so I continued with this story about Natasha's and Spence's oldest child. It is a lovely romance that really builds on the friendships and seed of love planted in the earlier books in the series. The only thing I didn't like is of course the jump in generation. When this book starts 10 years has passed and all the Stanislanski's have kids. More kids that I could keep t

i think that this book is adorable but its hardly realistic. to fall in love with someone when youre what...13 and 10 years later move across the country to make him fall for you. in the real world we call that crazy. i have to admit though roberts makes it work. freddie is sweet but she has just enough edge to her to keep me from writing her off. i feel like she sells herself short though and she even admits it 3/4 of the way through. shes so convinced that she loves nick and that he should lov ...more

OMFG!!!! ITS PROBABLY MY FAAAAVORITE IN THE STANISLASKI SERIES OR MY FAVE BOOK EVEEER. The way she knew it was true love from the moment she laid eyes on him 10 years ago and NEVER GAVE UP because she knew one day he would love her just as much as she to him it would only take time but one things for sure she didn't think it would be so hard. I really identify myself with Freddie she's young, tiny, plans things out to the very end and no matter how crazy the plan may seem she goes with it and do ...more

The book got off to a good start, and I loved revisiting the O'Hurleys with all their kids towards the middle, and the "action" part was done very well, but the quarrel between Nick and Freddie came up too fast and its resolution was way too quick. I would have expected Nick to take longer to get his head on straight and Freddie much longer to forgive him. It may have been a constraint from Silhouette on book length that caused this quick wrap-up, but I sure would like to see it fleshed out more ...more

Despite being the 5th book in a series and cameoing other couples and their children this is a good stand alone focusing on Freddie and Nick. Freddie may only be 24 to Nick's 30 but she is totally set on them being together. The ways in which she sets out to seduce Nick into falling in love with her is both sweet and creative, after all 10 years is long enough to wait for true love!

I am not going to review every Nora Roberts book that I have read in the past because she is quite prolific and it would get redundant and I honestly cannot remember all the plots. I think someone finds someone else attractive but at least one cannot admit it so there is sexual tension, then lots of sex, and then they live happily ever after? Sometimes there is some magic , a family legacy, or a mystery. Certainly not great works of literature (however still 100% better than “the grapes of wrath ...more

Liked this one, but wasn't as in love with it as some of the others. It felt a little contrived. Because I read them in order, it was a little weird that this one is last. Probably not the one I would have chosen to end with. C'est la vie.

Another chapter in the Stanislawski's series. Frederica finally catches her man, Nick. She has loved him for 10 years and they finally find a way to make music together. Not a very believable plot- but a quick read anyway.

This was the first i read in this series, and i will be looking for the earlier ones and later ones, because i really love the family. I loved that i could connect with Fred because she is tiny and very direct and plans everything, like me, and i loved how Nick was rebeliious but cleaned up, and just wants to protect Fred, and how Fred stuck with him. I loved how Fred was so set on getting him to fall in love with her, or realize it, and i loved the balcony/window scene, it was romantic and he n ...more

Great job of pulling not only previous story lines, but also a completely different series into the story! I loved revisiting some "old friends". I'm about to start the last book in this series, & I'm sure I will miss the Stanislaski clan!

For this series, I would like to give 4.5 stars. Frederica Kimball, a young girl waiting Nicholas LeBeck loved her back.

Loved this book, I'm glad we finally got to see how Nick grew up and how to love. Even how a childhood crush can become true lover. 3\5 stars

one of my favorite nora books but only if you know the family first.you have to read the stanislaski sisters at the very least, but I recommend reading all of the stanislaski books before you read this one. in those books you meet young freddy and watch her grow up, and watch her budding crush on nick. so then when you read 'waiting for nick' you will truly be aware that she was waiting for nick, making this book all the more sentimental. i'm not sure that this work would be nearly as good witho ...more

Waiting for Nick by Nora Roberts
Frederica had left her hometown and headed to NYC where other relatives live. She is a lyricist and hopes to team up with Nick, who she's loved since they were kids.
She sets words to his tunes and Nick knows it's gonna be a hit, even them working together. They are cousins but it's complicated.
The family gathering brings them closer and further apart.
When Marla, a relative comes to the family after her husband has abused her and the kids, Fred ends up being attac

Everyone in this book is so nice. The heroine, Fred, is so sweet and nice. Hero Nick is sweet and noble. The entire extended family loves everybody. Everyone is friends with everyone because they're so nice and sweet. Husbands and wives are still passionately in love with one another and love their kids to pieces. Everyone is talented and successful in their endeavors. Willie Wonka's chocolate factory doesn't have as much sweetness as this book. I can feel my blood sugar shooting up to dangerous ...more

Waiting for Nick is another book in the Stanislaski family saga; and tells the story of a grown-up Nick LeBeck (the tough and unruly stepbrother of Zach in "Falling for Rachel") and Freddie Kimball (the stepdaughter of Natasha from "Taming Natasha). I thought the book was good overall. Robert's use of the gang culture also adds a nice twist to the story. As this story involves characters from the other books in this saga, I would recommend reading the other Stanislaski siblings' stories. I feel ...more

I think this was my favorite story out of he series. It just tied them all together and they were so cute. Loved it. It also kinda brought it around full circle, from Natasha and Spence back around to Freddie. It was fantastic!
