Wow this book had some twists and turns I did not expect at all. But others I figured out or guessed on. This ebook has two stories in it. I am going to review the first one Reunion then read the next one than review. So I don't blur the lines.

Reunion by Jana Deleon

Tyler is finally back home in Parish. He plans to open a security business soon as his license accepted by the state. His father wants him to take on protecting Joelle. The last of the three daughters to come back home and spen

In DeLeon’s romantic suspense novel, Joelle, the middle LeBeau sister, has arrived to fulfill her two week stay in the family mansion. Ex-marine Tyler Duhan has been hired as her bodyguard for her stay because of all the “incidents” that threatened both of her sisters during their stay. Tyler doesn’t buy into all the gossip about the “cursed and haunted” mansion but he’ll gut it out to protect her. No sooner does Joelle move into the house when she is threatened by an unidentified source and the ...more

I have to admit, I struggled with this book. I had read, and really enjoyed the first two books in the Mystere Parish Inheritance series, so I was looking forward to the conclusion of the story. But this book just felt rushed and so completely predictable it was almost laughable.

After the death of Ophelia LeBeau, her second husband, not wanting to raise her three young daughters, sent them off to live with other families. The three girls, were very young when they were separated, and have very
What a satisfying end to this trilogy! Jana has described her romantic suspense stories as Gothic-lite and it's the perfect description. The Reunion is deliciously creepy and spooky, with an air of menace that nicely complements the sexy and intense attraction between Joelle and Tyler. Tyler is the perfect addition as the third hero in the series for the middle LeBeau sister. He's a hometown boy who's been away for years, and has returned a strong, scarred man to help is father. But he never ant ...more
Jana Deleon has packaged two great stories in this book. The first, The Reunion, is part of a series I have not read, but stands alone quite well. It was a well plotted romantic mystery with a touch of the paranormal. This one has it all, romance, suspense, ghosts, contact killers and long lost sisters finding each other. The mystery was well done, lots of twists and turns, and Ms. Deleon didn't telegraph the solution. The characters were well drawn, the setting rich, the pacing even, and the di ...more

Lots of twists and turns in these stories, but most of them you could see coming. For me, it was so hard to get through these. I read fast and I read a lot. It took me almost a week to read these. It just seemed like it was so long winded and over done that I couldn't really feel gripped by the book. They aren't bad stories. All in all, I did enjoy them, it just took a long time to get into them. The author does take readers like me into account. Those who haven't read the first two in the serie ...more
This book was disappointing. Hardly any romance. No chemistry between hero and heroine and suspense also was not that great
My Rating: 3.4 stars out of 5

I read this novel as a stand-alone book as I did not realize it was the third in a series. That aside, I found this book was easy to follow and understand, to the point where a lot of things became predictable. The characters and plot were interesting (and overall what kept me reading), and it had just the right elements of paranormal to keep it interesting without being overly dark.

DISCLAIMER: I received a complimentary copy of this novel in return for my honest re

Joelle is the middle sister, a social worker who needed a break, which came in the form of meeting her families estate requirements. With all that has happened on the estate, Tyler, who is fresh out of the military is hired to be Joelle's bodyguard and do some of the repairs while he is guarding Joelle.
What secrets the estate still holds and did trouble follow Joelle to the swamps are questions to be answered, getting those answers are dangerous.

Highly recommended third installment in the Family

Overall, bits of this series really creeped me out at times. I enjoy Deleon's writing though, and once I started, I had to know how it finished off. I only figured out the ending shorting before it was revealed, which was a big plus.

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Jana DeLeon was raised in southwest Louisiana among the bayous and gators. Her hometown is Carlyss, but you probably won't find it on a map. Her family owned a camp located on a bayou just off the Gulf of Mexico that you could only get there by boat. The most important feature was the rope hammock hanging in the shade on a huge deck that stretched ou ...more
