Good book. Gabby has inherited a ranch and isn't quite sure what to do about it. She's a city girl who grew up in Brooklyn, but with her business gone she heads west. After a wild beginning she settles in and plans to make the ranch her home. But somebody wants her gone and has no problem making sure of it. Zach is her closest neighbor and has made it his goal to make sure she is safe. He knows he should stay away from her, but he just can't do it.

I loved Gabby. She was so far out of her comfort
First book: Mountain Heiress
I really enjoyed this book up to the end. I liked the good guys in the book. The hero was intelligent and just nice. The heroine was independent and thoughtful. Both were intelligent. It had an interesting mystery going. It was well written.

My big problem was the end. It just ended. No real development or justification, just plop--done.

The second book was okay. There was an awful lot going on: easy escapes from vicious criminals, running from one place to the next--

Cassie grew up in a small town at the very tip of southern Illinois. A tomboy, she spent most of her time outside and got into big trouble for breaking the trellis while climbing out her second-story bedroom window.

When her family moved to L.A., major culture shock ensued. She discovered that grapefruits grew on trees, television offered more than two channels, and all the other girls had breasts.
